lpkaneFzeroI still don't understand why Lpkane has not said anything about the large concerns that people have right now. I feel like that kid only thinks about 5 seconds in the future. While I understand that there is a class action lawsuit that could really fuck him, but any good CEO would respond to huge negative PR complaints with what they are doing to change. The majority of posts of his have been run-arounds, ignoring, laughing at the questions, or bans against any hard questions about what he is planning.

While I understand that I am a bit jaded when it comes to him since I have a 10 year ban, but at the same time, it shows how little he cares about answering questions. He acts like everything is a joke and that no matter what he does, he will still make money. It's not like the client wasn't "attempting" to target everyone, the only reason that it didn't hit us was that we (TF2) don't stay idle long enough for it to kick in.

Who really knows what will happen with CEVO, but I feel like the only people that are saying anything are those that played in the last few seasons, and I want to explain the POV from someone that played early. Season one and two, no one had real issues with them. There were three leagues happening at once, TWL, CEVO, and ESEA and TWL was dropped very quickly.

I want to also say that while CEVO client hasn't picked up any private cheats, nor has ESEA. The only two private bans came as a manual ban. Play both leagues is the point, and take both serious.

Lastly, from a personal point. While I don't believe that my initial 10 year ban was correct, I still feel that why wouldn't I push harder after I was already banned for 10 years? I lose nothing at the point other than understanding the truth. Furthermore, why did people get a 10 year ban for questions against ESEA, while cheaters only get a year. There is no one that doesn't understand what a joke that is. Basically, they are saying that cheating is less than being an annoyance to the company. But somehow they are thinking about gamers first, sure.

your 10 year ban will stand because you private messaged me threats, do not try to mislead the public

I did not say any threats to you at all. I got pissed at the way you handled things and said that I want to sue you. I guess in an odd way that is a threat, but then a lot of people are "making threats" to you too.

Guessing Harbleu is (fake) Lpkane from the grammar, lack of punctuation, and timing off the posts. I maybe incorrect, but I don't believe so.

How do you spell it then? Sorry, for the extra "f" in "of" BTW. Otherwise, it is pretty correct. I will say again that I am sorry for the dumb joke that I made against you Harb. I really only meant it as funny play on threads.

Cevo really needs get the ball rolling if they are going continue with pay to play. They'll lose interest if they don't act soon.

Don't knock CEVO til you try it. I can't recall reading any complaints from people who actually participated in recent seasons of CEVO whereas most of the complaints about ESEA are from current/former players. There's little harm in giving CEVO a shot since it's not like it costs $30+ to play a season. Play in both next season and make a decision after that

ESEA won't get any of my money as long as the current ESEA team is in charge.

I see no reason to support a company that intentionally used customer's computers to make more money, we are already paying for you to provide a service, that's the extent that we "owe" you, and using our computers without permission violates that trust. You don't buy trust, you earn it.

I wasn't even affected by this, but still, it's on principal. If Ipkane steps down, and they basically clear house and replace the current team with a whole new team, maybe, but until then, I'd rather NOT play, then play and support a company that has violated the consumer's trust.

Until any of the above happens, I'll be sticking to pugs and hoping something comes about CEVO so I can play again.

The only complaint I've heard is that there tends to be a lot of forfeits. Astoundingly, this could be remedied by having more teams playing, and by extension being more competitive.

Until anything changes, what else would you call this...what, 28th? attempt at whining until the system somehow changes itself? People are great about complaining with no intent to fix the things they complain about.

No matter what situation you are in as a group, common goals and supportive members are the most conducive to good decisions and clear thinking. Some people are more susceptible to other people changing their opinions, and when people such as your team, who are clearly regarded as skilled and people to look up to in terms of tf2, make these kinds of situation muddled with banter and parroting it can be derailing.

Last time I took the time out to read a thread about ESEA, I read an entire page about Jews thanks to blink. You'd think I would have learned by now.

people are actively trying to make people play CEVO and a lot of them are intending to do so themselves. it's not in any way "whining until the system somehow changes itself".

Friendly reminder that some percentage of the money you give to ESEA ends up in harbleu's pockets. Just saying.

The community doesn't have to come together and choose one league. Play in the leagues you think are worth playing in. Cevo is going to offer a product just like esea does. If you deem it worth playing in, play in it. If i were a team leader i'd probably want to play in both just to support growth in the competitive scene. Also it would be nice to play in a league where there is a better chance of winning, since it seems like the better teams aren't going to participate. That's not to say there won't be good teams or good competition. I'm just saying there won't be competition that you have a 0% chance of beating.

That being said, I don't play anymore and i couldn't play in esea even if i wanted to. I'd still like to see the community grow and pursue potential alternatives to esea, instead of just letting every league that tries run into the ground. Nothing grows w/o consumer support.
