Who would be in your i49 super team? Based from performances at i49 only, it's so hard!

Medic: KnOxXx
Demo: numlocked
Pocket: Mike/Yuki
Roamer: jukebox
Scout: basH
Scout: sheep

I think you pretty much nailed it. I don't know how those players would co operate as a team though.

I think I'll still take b4nny over numlocked. 90% of the time the primary reason HRG was in the game was because of b4nny or lansky coming up huge. numlocked certainly played great though, and I won't argue the point too much.

For pocket I don't think you have a choice besides yuki. Mike performed well but yuki put on one of the best performances I've seen from any soldier ever.

This team would wreck, but only because it's mostly epsilon with a few DM upgrades, so all the teamwork would be there. And I think jukebox and sheep would be redundant. Might put Mirelin in on medic though (Just because I love that guy)

Also to note Bulk actually did work at lan. He wasn't necessarily doing anything special or spectacular but he was consistently out damaging the other demos at lan.

With sheep in the team I think I'd rather have gear than jukebox, his dm is better and you don't really need two incredible offclassers.

If you're talking about the flashiest team possible in lan, I would definitely agree..

I have to disagree however if you are talking about the best team possible because I think the full epsilon roster would still win over it, as much as I love and get excited for the amazing jukebox/sheep plays I think GeaR for example is the most intelligent roamer in tf2 right now, despite not being exactly flashy, and I would argue as well that stefan is essential as he is a really smart scout with huge teamwork. And the overall flow of epsilon as a unit would be much better than any of these so called super teams

I'm talking about who I thought was the best at their respective classses/roles at LAN. Obviously a full team with better teamwork would win, that's not the point of this!

definitely agree with taking gear over jukebox
that team looks like it would fall apart with 5 big players
also mirelin played really well in the finals so I'd probably take him over knoxxx

maybe a better term would be calling it the i49 "team of the tournament"?

We need to have an all-star match-up next lan. Would love seeing how that would play out.

i dont understand how ryb and numlocked can literally outplay banny every single mid and you still consider banny to a better choice

save 1 or 2 weird sticky traps he was a non-factor

being the best for such a long time it feels weird not saying b4nny is the best, blinded by the past everyone praises him whatever he do, and he deserves it cause he's a fucking beast

My team would be

Medic: Knoxxx/Mirelin
Roamer: GeaR/Aporia
Demo: Numlocked
Pocket: Yuki
Scout: Sheep
Scout: Cookye

Yuki was my player of the tournament tbh, he was so good!

geaR and Aporia was the best roamers, jukebox actual soldier play wasn't as good but then he had his amazing sniping, though I needed a scout so I picked sheep and cookye cause I thought they were really good, and with sheep sniping you don't need jukebox sniping.

Who would you put in there? I'd only consider Lansky, but with Mike and Yuki it's hard to do so.

ok, lets rephrase then, I felt that aporia and geaR was better overall, cause jukebox didn't play as well during the first day and felt his sniping was better then his roaming, you could be right though maybe I'm underrating him heh.

Then you really didn't see him play, jukebox was on another world, his play was so disruptive it was unreal. He was probably the outstanding performer for TCM and he would always relieve the pressure/create the space when it was needed the most.

To have a player that you can depend on so much to get you that vital pick is very important, not to take anything away from the other roamers this lan but he was the guy that would consistently deliver.

that's because jukebox is TCM's playmaker though. if he doesn't go big, they'll lose mids and rounds.

Yuki was the player of the tournament without a doubt, then b4nny, and then jukebox, I would love to include any of Epsilon, but they all played at their best level as expected so nothing new :p

PermzillaI'm talking about who I thought was the best at their respective classses/roles at LAN. Obviously a full team with better teamwork would win, that's not the point of this!

Even there I would have to rate GeaR higher than jukebox, sure Jukebox made a huge overall impact on TCM's play, one could even argue he carried them hard some times. But GeaR was spotless, he is one of those guys that does his job perfectly and sometimes goes unnoticed. It's the little things in his plays, the positioning, the timing, the focus, etc...

I wouldn't disagree that GeaR's roaming was impeccable this LAN, it's just that Jukebox's expertise on soldier is criminally underappreciated by most who are blown away by his sniping.

I was stood behind GeaR during the Upper Bracket final against HRG, and his methodical approach to taking ground was astounding. He caught out Tagg a handful of times just because of how thorough he was with checking and prefiring hiding spots before moving in.
