The biggest complaint so far has to be the down-time between matches.

An overlay of the next match being casted with the latest results would be nice. Maybe have a LAN record so far (kind of like a tale of the tape) of the next two teams being casted.

Also, please, please, please join a MGE of the players warming up. I know it's just MGE blah blah blah but honestly, that would be infinitely more enjoyable than seeing 20 empty seats and 3 people talking in the second row. Put a "warm-up" overlay on the stream so first time watchers know it's not a real match.

Byte that Yuki interview was horrid. Please let them talk and stop being just super rude while interviewing a player that just got knocked out of a major tournament. You just sat there insulting him for 10 minutes with gaps for yuki to try and defend himself.

God that was hard to watch.

I'm not happy with the interviews done by VanillaTV. Byte is more interviewing himself and gives mentoring lessons. Skully on the other side is talking way too fast and is interrupting the person, who's being interviewed.

Anyway, I love the effort you put in. The green screen is fantastic. It's cool to see faces behind the players. Without you, we couldn't enjoy this LAN...

Agreed, Byte should just be asking questions. Not telling the player what he thinks they should have done in the game. It's very easy for the viewer to see what's going on.

i disagreee, i thought the interviews were done very well and professionaly, of course they can be improved, but this is tf2 not football, we cannot expect perfection

We all know, that VanillaTV isn't a company, that works professionally, but does it for fun and interest. But at least, they should prepare a bit for the interviews. And since we are on it:

We all know the EU vs. USA drama, but at least it should be kept inside the viewer community (even that is not good, don't understand me wrong), but Skully is really biased and as longer the tournament goes, he gets more biased.

There are so many ppl in the chat, who are insulting a mom with her son. I mean, WTF, do we really need that. TF2 gets a really good viewership and when someone is tuning in the stream, all he sees is shit like "that fat woman with her kid xoxo" or "please stop that narwal eating her kid"...not even mentioning the insulting of suddenlystarmia and the fake nude picture, that was just embarrassing...

the interview with yuki certainly wasn't

1. Totally agree with interviews. Short concise questions please. It's the player we want to hear from.

2. Picking out Skully specifically seems rather harsh. Everyone is playing the biased angle including Sal and Lange. It's all in jest and good fun with no malice intended so picking out one specific person for it just seems strange.

3. There really seems to be some poisonous people in this community. What should be grown men acting like children. Seeing the stream chat at times is just pathetic.

We'll try and get Sal to do the next interview. Byte goes mentor-mode for everything TF2-related.

Sal tried his best with .jukebox and ryb, but damn, those two :D it was really funny in a way and also awkward...

Just a technical question.. How did VanillaTV get the top timer countdown to use map time left? Is it a HUD thing? How can I get that to work in our eXtv HUD?

More mods to take care of the people saying nigger in chat would be nice.

It's a command recently added, tf_hud_show_servertimelimit. You need to add it to the HUD manually though. Ask Rays how to do it.

To be honest though this isnt really that harsh. Anytime I watch a cast where a NA team is playing and Skully is casting i feel like he is burning american flags in the background. Dude really needs to tone it down.

They should've interviewed the winning 3 teams at the end of the whole thing. That would've been nice instead of just ending it after the match :P

After gran byte had the chance to wrap it up and congratulate the teams and get them both on stage and have a quick interview etc but instead he went around awkwardly speaking to the crowd. Really unprofessional ending.

Also Beta still always changing the subject to sponsors/"we are arx and beta etc" just as a crucial push/play is about to happen. Why even change the subject? So frustrating!

Other than that the stage and the crowd were awesome, what a final!

what if teams didnt want to be interviewed? What if byte did not want to take up any of epsilons or TCM`s focus. They are on a tight schedule and its not only TF2 being shown at this event.

VanillaTV: fantastic job. very entertaining to watch all weekend, shame about the internet at the grand final stream though.

Great job VTV for most everything. The only thing that bothered me that hasn't been mentioned is that I really disliked it when you would show the caster's faces during rollouts. It wouldn't bother me if they were small and in the corner, but you showed them at the same time as the double camera and gave their faces the same amount of screen real estate. Midfights are often the most exciting/important part of matches and I can't think of a time when the caster's faces should have equal screen space.
