when I was trying to get Bloodsire to sign my rifle I had his steam profile open at all times and I'd just refresh it every so often until he was in a server then I asked him in the game.

people found a way to dupe unusuals a while ago(1.5yr?), since a lot of people spent money on their items valve decided to not remove the dupes.

It is very difficult finding people who are willing to pay for signed items (more than the item itself is worth anyway). Usually meaning less than the gift wrap.

I did get a strange pan + fish for a hat signed by Robin walker though .... eventually! But I guess he is definitely more known in the public TF2 players / traders.
