Hey everyone,I’ve been feeling an intense wave of nostalgia the past few days and decided to visit here for the first time since I think I attended GXL lan in 2015 (basically right when I stopped playing). Idk if anyone remembers me but I played comp tf2 from 2009 (twl) to 2015 (ugc, esea) off and on until I eventually quit to focus on school. I don't know if anyone still around remembers me, but looking back, my time in this game was incredibly formative. As an awkward teenager, playing on comp teams taught me so much about how to communicate and interact with people lol. Just wanted to drop in and say thank you to this community for being such a big part of my youth. Anyway, enjoy playing!

This feels like a TF2 appreciation post. I also had a similar experience of learning how to communicate better by playing tf2, since I had immigrated from europe I was really self conscious and anxious about how I sounded when I spoke english so i didn’t speak much irl but speaking ingame without having people in front of me took away the pressure and I was able to overcome my anxiety. Even though people shit on this game constantly I think it’s definitely done a lot more good than bad, and It sounds really stupid to say but I would never be who I am without this game and I think most people who have spent an extended amount of time on tf2 also feel the same way. Also i’m not gonna act like i know who you are but you seem to cherish the game a lot so respect.

That was sun!! I should have milked that more, I remember going live on twitch and having over 100 viewers when I was exposing him. I think I only had 20 max before. I quit games to focus on school but I feel like in another life I would have done the opposite and tried to be a big twitch streamer or something. Glad I didn't tbh, I'm not interesting to watch
