It doesn't matter if you weren't RGL banned at the time of signing up or any time leading up to the event. If you get a fresh RGL ban literally the day before LAN, you're still not allowed to attend.

Before anyone messages me or posts here to plead their case, I want to make it very clear that we have no affiliation with RGL. The reason we are adhering to their bans in place is that we either don't want someone who was cheating and/or perilous to the community. If the ban gets lifted, the player can attend. If you have an issue with your RGL ban, take it up with RGL.

The following two hotels are extremely close to each other and about a mile from the venue.

I'd suggest buying a hotel room sooner than later, as hotels tend to fill up quickly in the area.

[u][b]Can I play in other tournaments? And when is the TF2 tournament?[/b][/u]
You may only play in other tournaments if and when you’ve been eliminated from the TF2 tournament. There are no tournaments on Sunday.
Team signup deadline: Friday (9/11) at 6:30 PM
Group stage: Friday (9/11) at 7 PM
Double elimination: Saturday (9/12) at 11 AM

If someone on your team can't make a group stage match in time, you may use a ringer. Just a reminder that group stage is used only for seeding and no one gets eliminated.

If anyone wants to complete their first round match of double elimination on Friday night, you'll be allowed as long as both teams agree.

[b]FAQ – TF2 tournament [/b]

[u][b]How can I play in the tournament?[/b][/u]
You’ll need to find a team if you haven’t already found one. Keep in mind that the tournament will be 6 vs 6. This thread will have plenty of teams looking for players, so make sure to post here (and don’t forget to include what class you play). If you can’t find a team, there will certainly be pick-up teams made while at the event.

[u][b]Will there be a buy-in for the tournament?[/b][/u]
Yes, it is $5 per person (or $30 per team).

[u][b]What will the prizes and payout be?[/b][/u]
Prize pool consists of buy-ins and any donations made directly to the prize pool.

An anonymous donor has donated $600 to the prize pool!

1st Place: 60% of total prize pool + additional prizes TBA
2nd Place: 30% of total prize pool
3rd Place: 10% of total prize pool

6 players per team. There will be a group stage (for seeding) followed by double elimination.

[i]Class-limits (NA rules)[/i]:

2 Scouts
2 Soldiers
2 Pyros
1 Demoman
1 Heavy
1 Engineer
1 Medic
1 Sniper
2 Spy

[i]Time-limit / win-limit (EU/NA hybrid rules[/i]):

30 minute time-limit, 4 minute round-timer
If a team wins 5 rounds (or 3 on koth), that team wins.
If the game is tied after 30 minutes in group stage, the result will be a tie. If the game is tied after 30 minutes in the double elimination bracket, there will be no time limit for golden cap.

[u][b]What maps will be in use?[/b][/u]
Whatever the current RGL map pool is at the time.
