gambleSounds great, thanks! I assume this survey will be open to people who didn't play the previous season?
Most likely not, my personal advice, try to roster ride so you can answer it

Seems a bit backwards, no? How are people who are most impacted by the late times and unable to play going to be able to voice their opinions?
I cannot tell you how many teammates over the years have quit because of the timezone
Every other e-sport does 8/9 EST scrims regardless of work. They're more willing to schedule at off times. HL does 8:30/9;30 on Mondays. While we're at it, why are match times Tues/Thurs if HL has Monday matches? Would Wed/Fri not be better when Friday is essentially a free day of the week where everyone pugscrims anyways? Are we just this addicted to an old ESEA schedule?
when i lived in australia and competed in ozfortress, our scrims and matches (only one match a week, by the way) were at either 7/8 or 8/9, depending on whether we had new zealanders on the team. moving back to NA and having 9:30/10:30 start times was too much. it got to the point where i had to stop trying to grind and settled for a match-only team, and even that was still hard to maintain. it’s not fun going to bed at midnight because you’ve spent 20 minutes failing to push snakewater last. stop letting the west coast hold us hostage
9est scrims are maybe doable for west coast job havers but 8est is just not possible

Yeah HL 8:30 I've always wondered how the west coasters make it work; if you're a 9-5er with an average 30 minute commute you make it back just on time with no time to eat/relax a bit after job or w/e. God forbid you have longer commute, hit traffic, boss doesn't let you clock out exactly at five, work different hours etc. etc.
My only guess is (besides historical inertia) that it works because:
1. Not that many west coast HL players
2. Most players are in school or are NEETs (HL I believe skews younger?)
3. You only have to deal with it once a week on Monday since scrims are on weekends.
But for 6's point #3 no longer holds and possibly #1 and #2 are less true.
Genuine question. Why did it take so long for people to start abusing the loch? I'm absolute dogshit at the game and thought it was kinda OP like 5 years ago but thought there must be a reason top level players weren't using it.
Was it literally just the stigma of the weapon that prevented people from using it?

equip a "funny" weapon in a scrim or match and watch as half your team starts throwing while the other half either silent tilts or rage quits. (also you will lose scrim partners for doing this)
its just the stigma
