Statement Regarding My RGL Ban

I am Erasqer, the owner of Quick Esports League, and I want to share some insight into my current situation, and to clear some things to the community regarding this issue.

This morning I woke up to find that an RGL profile has been created for me and that I was banned in RGL. This happened after I had formally came forward to RGL a month before in private dms to RGL staff, and via there appeal form, about my identity and history, I had came out to RGL due to my current position in the community and the influence I might have, and to be honest about my previous alias semiperf which I am permanently banned under, which I had originally started as a teenager
I had contacted RGL to make them aware of who I am and to see if there is any chance for a future appeal, I had also made it to clear to the RGL admins that with my current time running QEL, I have not made any attempt to alt into RGL or make a profile or have ever played in any RGL associated scrimmages/officials. I had also requested that my disclosure remain confidential within RGL staff to avoid unnecessary speculation or drama, and I made it clear that I would not attempt to participate in RGL if my appeal was denied. Unfortunately, since that conversation, I have received not received a follow up since. And an RGL profile was made today to ban me, I am not sure why RGL chose to do this a month after I had admitted to one of the admins in DMs that I am permanently banned and not the day/week of, and while we are in the middle of our tournament. I feel that it may mislead people about what QEL has done.

Wanted to make this thread to clear up anything and to come out to the community on who is running QEL, I had started QEL with a group of others last April, with plans of running tournaments and other events for the community, I know this was a passion project of mine and something that I had wanted to do for a while now. One thing that I had realized was announcing QEL and all these tournaments under the alias of a permanently banned RGL player would ruin all our validity and reputation without even announcing a single event.

I have ever since distanced myself from who I previously was and I have not gone by my previous alias or had any major interactions with the community for almost three years and with QEL I was hoping to distance myself even further.
I do also know that any statements insinuating the illegitimacy of our league are wrong. We have openly displayed our payouts to players in the discord and have consistently been transparent with the community about what we do and how we run. And despite rumors and allegations, QEL has not ever allowed any cheaters within our league nor has QEL staff ever harassed or targeted any group of players.

Being part of the community and starting QEL has allowed me to reach out and make friends and make an impact within competitive TF2 that I don't think I would have otherwise been able to normally.
I know that with QEL we have run numerous events and tournaments.
- Raised over $2,000+ dollars in prizepools among all 3 events including the one we are currently running.
- Recieved over 1k views on FiresideCasts casting of our grandfinal featuring Froyotech vs. Mongolz
- Attaining sponsorships and worked with various members of the community
- Much more

I know that this may come as a surprise to some and I am sorry if anybody in the community feels betrayed. QEL will continue to run and will continue to focus on building something meaningful for TF2. This account exists solely for that purpose, and I hope that our track record speaks louder than any assumption about my past.
