se7en, shawshank redemption, ip man, inglorious bastards, girl w/ dragon tattoo, district 9, death at a funeral(really really good comedy, if you watch UK version), man on fire, the bank job, the game, the departed, memento, eternal sunshine of spotless mind, this is spinal tap(reason i watched this was because orzo said it was his favorite movie i think), watchmen, snatch, insomnia
look them up on imdb, most of them are "serious" movies
