when I was trying to get Bloodsire to sign my rifle I had his steam profile open at all times and I'd just refresh it every so often until he was in a server then I asked him in the game.
Super nice guy.

When unusuals first came out the pricing in the market was insane like insane, people were pay $400 up to like $1200 over paypal for the hats. Then Valve being Valve kept making more and more unusuals to the point where it is now and the market isn't what it use to be.

people found a way to dupe unusuals a while ago(1.5yr?), since a lot of people spent money on their items valve decided to not remove the dupes.

Does anyone make alt accounts and name them after famous players? Like just set the name to "stabbystabby -ts-" and sign it yourself. Damn there could be some major humor potential there.

the fact that people would stalk players and then try to "accidentally" meet them ingame and then ask for a signed weapon is pretty creepy.

It is very difficult finding people who are willing to pay for signed items (more than the item itself is worth anyway). Usually meaning less than the gift wrap.
I did get a strange pan + fish for a hat signed by Robin walker though .... eventually! But I guess he is definitely more known in the public TF2 players / traders.

I don't understand the hate for people wanting weapons signed. I mean, sure, I'm not going to go out of my way to stalk these people, but if the opportunity arose, who wouldn't want a clockwork scattergun or whatever.

What do signed weapons legitimately do? Nothing really, other than make you look "cool" on a pub or pug etc. I have a signed RL from plat that I bought from the TOTH charity, but I barely even use it, because I just wanted to help the cause. I just hope people who go lengths to get their virtual collections of pixels signed by "famous" players realize that outside of TF2, they're just like you and me. Huge difference between getting a baseball card signed, really.
