I play Demo on a silver team, and say in a game of MGE I play against a silver soldier, I can absolutely destroy them or even scouts, but when it comes to a real game, I deal like 200 dpm.
I think the underlying problem is my positionning and gamesense- How can I improve my pos and gamesense?

Watch demos of better players can help you learn a lot about positioning and what to do in different scenarios that you've never seen/aren't comfortable with. After you watch their demos, go back to your demos and compare. After every death, pause and try and understand what you did wrong and see what you could have done to not die/be more effective.

Are we talking about MGE with stickies? I'd be surprised if anyone lost that at silver dm levels.
MGE is for practicing 1v1. If you're in a 1v1 as a demo you are so far out of position that even winning the 1v1 won't matter.
If your dm is good why do you keep playing MGE?
Play lobbies/pugs, that's what you're bad at.

Also use your brain while playing. Don't blindly w+m1 "I see enemy, I must kill enemy!".

if you are dying a lot, it might because you are too far in front of your team (even if they are "baiting" you) and its hard to do damage when you are in the respawn queue often. if you have low/avg deaths, you might be too far back and not positioning yourself to be able to do damage or be useful during team fights. so like yuice said, watch the fuck out of demos of invite/prem demos and see what works for them. of course they might have a different play style than you or even their team's play style is different than your team's, but you can still learn a lot from what they do.

watch premvite demos
find a sweet spot between baiting your team mates and over extending like a mongo
analyze your own pov's asking yourself why the fuck did i die there
you practice demo by playing him in games. there is only so much you can learn by spamming stickies in mge

quick peek at your logs and you have the highest damage taken stat in every recent scrim, so you're probably overextending and playing too aggressively

Those are from months ago. I got permabanned from tf2center and I don't honestly know why.

Play more pugs, stop playing mge (or at least, try to play more pugs and lobbies than mge).

Your inexperience, so naturally you prolly overextend , and you get away with it because the other team has worst Dm. If you were to play a better team you would realize that you wouldn't be able to be so aggressive as you are. My advice play harder teams (like open team/plat team) . Then you demo Review with your team or mentor and see what your doing , why you are alone so much. Maybe the issue could be that your team can't keep up with you, there are lots of scenarios that can happen. Gl my dude

play mge/dm like 1/4th as much and use the other 3/4ths of that time to play pugs

i dont think i've ever seen someone named thunderduck add to pugchamp. if you do try to add to pugchamp and find it hard to get picked, try playing mixchamp or even freakpugs. you can try joining a pug group too, but I find that just using pug websites generally is easier and less aids. seriously, playing pugs is infinitely more useful with working on gamesense than mge/dm will ever be--even if you have to wait a while to get picked, stay added up and you'll get to play eventually.

try to join an open team next season, ugc is fine for beginners but if you really have a drive to improve, nothing will make you improve more than playing a full season of open with teammates that also want to improve.

also if you want, you can pm me a demo of one of your silver games and I'll do a review. I don't main demo but I have a pretty decent high level understanding of the game so I should be able to give you a bunch of tips and point out what you're doing wrong

your DM also probably isnt as good as you think it is. This reminds me of the scout main who couldn't do more than 150 dpm but thought his DM was fine because of his performance against the other teams scouts in pre-game

A lot of performance is about pressure and being calm.

In pre-round or MGE you don't give a fuck so you two shot every fool who you come across. In games it's harder, as the pressure is on more. You see it a lot with new scouts (inc myself). Classic example is when you get on the med and beef every shot because you're not being natural with your shots and you rush. No idea if you're choking, but it's possible. Even if it's not affecting your DM, the adrenaline could be clouding your judgement.

Im combination with the shit that others have suggested of course.

demo mge is nothing like an actual game. demo mge you have 8 stickies and 4 pipes to use on one enemy. there is no reason to lose as demo in mge against soldiers. the best way to improve is to pug or watch demos and if you're determined to play mge only use 2 or 3 stickies per life

Looking at your logs I personally think you think that your dm is better than it really is, or maybe you just stand way too far up so you take a shit load of damage and die then you blame your team for baiting you
