^smack my bitch up is great especially with some exposition of the samples https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo67bWkNEiE

and one of their oldest singles (God of hellfire) which stills get used a lot for samples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRU0V3Kwqnc

if you like prodigy check these videos out. all the stuff you see in the video would have been done on 90s technology, which makes the originals even more impressive

I would post some of my favourites but there would be too many

  • Rave era - Death of the Prodigy Dancers. Pretty much all of Experience is too cheesy for my liking, but this is a track that I actually enjoy, mostly because of the 303 parts.
  • From Music for the Jilted Generation - Voodoo People. That synth sure goes places. They finally (mostly) stopped pitching their vocal samples up at this point, which is a big plus for me.
  • From Fat of the Land - Firestarter. That song is so packed with detail, it's incredible (go watch the videos Alfie linked). The most intense Prodigy track I've ever heard for sure.

Overall, Music is my favorite album, but Firestarter is my favorite track. I only heard the title track from Invaders Must Die out of their post-90s material (Dookie Nukem Forever, anyone?) and it doesn't sound like my kind of thing.

fat of the land will always be their best to me

narayan and smack my bitch up embody the lovable over-serious goofiness of big beat to me

i dont quite want to say Invaders is underrated, but Omen, Stand Up, and the title track are 3 of their best, so I'll at least call it the least shitty mid-2000s big beat comeback albums
