See what the other team is doing - so you can adapt and win

Wouldn’t you like to see how you can win, while playing the game? Why wait until after the game is done when there is nothing you can do about it? See where the other team is going during the game. See who is doing well so you can shut that player down and win.

Wait, so this is real time? Haha, what the fuck?

If somebody book a server in the #tf2scrim channel they will get all that for free and this is available right now. It might not be as simple but it isn't harder than typing !book in the channel, once the scrim is over, waiting 2 minutes and heading over to http://stats.atf2.org/

I fixed a couple issues on the booking bot and there shouldn't be any bugs remaining. If you guys still have issues then keep reporting them to me.

I think the idea is that it streams stats (and maybe player positions?) in mostly real time as a server plugin or something. That's the gist I got.

I'd imagine it has a slider that lets you see where each player is on a map based on the time. The idea is that you can see how the other team rolls out when you're dead or something, then try to do a counter play. Also could be a form of ghosting but I imagine that they'll let you set a delay on it.

People shouldn't be charging for things like this. Just wait for what Techno is working on. It's pretty sweet.

Real time stats could actually help a lot in scrims. This would be interesting if it became a thing. I honestly thought it was a complete joke halfway through...

so you could see if the med is running kritz or uber in real time? that kinda spoils the surprise. or am I not understanding what this does.

there is an optional 90 second delay, but if they don't use the kritz in that timeframe, yes. you would be able to check to see.

This might be a next level tactic, but if you train yourselves to do it you can always have a fresh spawn go spy for 5 seconds to see what medigun the other team is using (especially when waiting for a forward spawn). I do it sometimes.

But using the tool is still a form of ghosting (spy playz and what not.)

I can testify to this, the stats system is amazing and I wanted to say thank you. I'm guessing you've fixed the issue where the bot does not respond when someone tries to book a server, it was 2 or 3 days ago when I was having this issue but if its working now then you can just disregard this ;p

mausycan someone explain to me exactly what this does?

It looks like it works like those stats programs that are in some pubs but it gives you more real time information about the current game. If I'm understanding correctly, you can see K, A, D, damage and other stats of each player real time.

If the data is detailed enough I tihnk this could actually help teams because in a scrim they could say things like "Oh, we're doing x wrong because y stat is half of the other team's".

Browny is right though, it's not all that different from ghosting.

You can tell all of this from the scrim itself if your teammates are communicating with each other well. Say you are in a scrim, you keep getting destroyed in uber pushes, you could go look at stats and, and for example, your scouts are doing very little damage. You conclude that you're scouts are either not hitting their shots, or not involved on the ubers/end of ubers. So now you're wondering which one it is if you can't remember what happened uber/post-uber. Whereas, your scouts could just tell you that they need the combo to help the flank come into fights/they need the medic to heal them at the end of the uber.

TL;DR Anything team oriented is about communicating with each other about what works well and what you can do to accomplish that. It's not about checking out each others stats mid-scrim, and then play the blame game. However all that said stats can be important, sometimes.
