The .cfg uses sv_cheats though, doesn't that mean it can only be disabled on listen servers or do you not need it?

love-Is it easier to snipe like this?

I've been messing around with it in pubs and its like 100x easier to headshot people close range.

SevinThe .cfg uses sv_cheats though, doesn't that mean it can only be disabled on listen servers or do you not need it?

The cfg uses sv_cheats to perform the animation on startup. It's not entirely needed, since you can throw it into DamagedPlayer and just do some damage and it'll work, but it's useful to have.

To disable it you'd have to edit the scoperemoval animation. Afaik there's no way to disable it serverside and no way to disable it permanently ingame.

it isnt new, i found this on gamebanana like a year ago
*edit* link : =7&mid=PostsList]here
this one uses material files instead of animations
double edit the link is messed up because there is brackets in it but it still works

Been using this in scrims for the past week or so. Definitely feels like cheating. Probably removing before ESEA starts up this week, since I'm not sure their stance on it.

Considering how little dev time tf2 seems to get valve will probably just block hudanimation edits to fix this, although I think there are other unpatched methods of removing the sniper scope as well.

See this is why i didn't make a thread like this two days ago, they'll probably go over the top with blocking the vpk stuff as well, and i like the rest of clean tf2 :(
Also yeah i've been using the mod for the past couple of days (the second screenie is mine) and it's infinitely easier to snipe with
Given that some of this stuff is bannable in etf2l now could you modify your mod to only include the legal stuff please jarateking?
Edit: nvm he already did it, you work fast dude (Y)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to make it official and say this script is banned in ESEA. Anyone found to be using it will be banned and have their match overturned.

Just wanted to make it official and say this script is banned in ESEA. Anyone found to be using it will be banned and have their match overturned.

I'm just wondering because I'm not too sure on the specifics. Does the ESEA client scan the contents of one's custom files to figure this out?

Ya, if you don't mind explaining further how you guys will be able to detect if people are using this script? Thanks for a quick response, Killing!

If you say how an anti-cheat works, then it kinda defeats the purpose.

My game is missing the scope, as OP shows, but my hud doesn't have those animations in it.
What do I do, I'd rather not get banned.

This is incorrect. Don't use it under the false pretense that it can't be detected.

This definetly doesn't fall into the category of anti-cheat but thanks anyways. I was asking how they plan on determining if someone was using this script besides a "suspicion" as I think this would be pretty hard to tell if someone was using it in a game. as the op has stated, this isn't detected by anti cheat.

well if esea client is able to read files in your tf2 folder it can just scan hud_animations.txt for the event that triggers this. Of course we don't know if the esea client can do that, but it would be a fair assumption to assume an AC client would be able to do things like that.

Pretty sure it takes screenshots, I believe that's one of the things listed in the EULA.

You might be using the old version of the clean tf2 mod? Delete those vpks and download the updated version if that's so.
