incase there is a custom border, search in both huds clientschemes for something like TFFatBorder(i think) and if swap out the code from that and the red and blue opaque ones i believe, tell me if it dont worry and i can dig through some files and check

what is the line "NegativeColor" in hudhealthaccount.res? I know PositiveColor is health pickup but my 'NegativeColor' is red and I don't remember ever seeing it on my screen. Thanks.

gargleburryhow can I get a new scoreboard for my hud. Mine wont show the damage i do

replace the file either with the default file or the file from another hud, in which u will have to change out any fonts/colors/potential vtf/images, the file u need to swag out is scoreboard.res
also alternatively u can just get the default file for the scoreboard and find Damage and Damage label and add it into your hud and mess with the values from there

Question for Team Fortress 2 hard modders:
HUD as mod. Not changed files. DLLs. Mod like prec, statusspec and etc. This should allow to do with TF's HUD anything.

no regular crosshairs.
because thru hud is the only way to have custom crosshairs with custom positions, size and shape on pure servers.

With the takyahud-classic, how do I make my ammo counter have a red backing when reaching a low amount of ammunition like the health gets a red backing after reaching a low health total?

2nd: http://i.imgur.com/rpYgaWg.png is there a way to remove the ">>" there too and remove the old "Delete button"

depends, does the %act only show when u hud reloadscheme? if its like taht all the time then i would have to see the code, and assume that the labelText is wrong

I'm pretty sure it's just how it looks when you first join a game and haven't shoot any stickies yet. I've had that in the default hud so I guess it's a game 'bug'. Same happens in the killcam when someone kills you for the 1st time. Also happens when you use hud_reloadscheme. Or is it always like that?

What makes the main menu cycle backgrounds? A lot of people have their HUDs set to only use the Upward file, and then they replace that file, but how does the default HUD do it? I've been digging at it but I haven't had any luck figuring that out.

EDIT: Found it, it's scripts\ChapterBackgrounds.txt.

editing HudItemEffectMeter_spy.res doesn't seem to do anything though it contains HudItemEffectMeter.

edit: derp it was simply HudItemEffectMeter I needed to change.
