i usually take the cents off of the cost of a gallon of gas and give them the dollar amount, so $3 around these parts. unless they impress me with delivery speed or show up naked or something, then i'll tip more.

I usually order 15ish dollars(incl delivery fee) worth of food and pay with a 20 and maybe one 1. Since the delivery fees are pretty high for most places around me and I have too many stacks of 20s from my old job.

I don't tip anything because in England we actually pay our workers

My best friend was a pizza delivery guy for two years so I usually give $5-6 because I feel bad for the delivery guys in my area. They deliver pizza to some seriously uptight, picky fuckers.

I would tip about $4 for a $10 pizza (assuming decent service). Delivery workers are often broke since they aren't a part of any kind of hospitable salary scale. I've made a $20 dinner order before and tipped it to $30 because I was so impressed with the demeanor of the delivery worker. Service has value - especially good service.

when i was a kid and was in the states i didn't understand the concept of tipping so this guy would follow me around and help me at the hotel and i didn't give him money and eventually he just walked away
