#2 (not the usual geeky mouse thread) Help! in Hardware

what mouse did you buy and what kind of mouse pad are you using? You shouldn't be having issues with lift height just because you're not pushing down on your mouse.

#13 HELP! Tournament Formats in TF2 General Discussion

you could easily fit a bo3 single elim tournament in. Perhaps run just 2 matches at once and keep a third set of 12 computers free for pugs or something so eliminated players can still have something to do.

edit: even one official match at a time would give you plenty of time in a single elim. That'd create some interest for every match because you'd have spectators for all of the action rather than one exciting match and one that doesn't have as many viewers.

edit again: never mind, you'd wanna run 2 at once for sure for the early rounds.

potYou can do a bo3 with that many teams within 12 hours if you use the Euro rule set.

Even that is stretching it. 14 matches, 30 minutes per map, call it 5 minutes between maps (that's cutting it close), and 15 minutes between matches. If every match is 2-0 you're at 1:20 per match, or 18:40. Run three matches at a time and you're already over half of the allotted time, not accounting for being unable to run 3 matches at all times because of bracket contraints, not accounting for matches that aren't 2-0, and not accounting for technical problems and other things that need to be built into the schedule (lunch comes to mind).

I don't see any way to get through a bo3 double-elim tournament in 12 hours unless you're the most efficient group of people on earth.

I'd say that if you want double elim, you won't be able to do bo3 through the whole thing, especially if you don't have enough computers to run 4 matches simultaneously. It'll take you most of the day to just get through the first round. Might be better off doing a single map for each round if you want double elim.

#7 error- looking any class in Recruitment (looking for team)

Has forgotten more about the game than a lot of current players have learned.

Kind of an abrasive personality, but he's funny.

Said I had a fat cock once but I think he was trying to say that I'm fat and have a cock.

Definitely has the ability to play demo or med on a contending IM team.

london_callingWHAT THE FUCK I ASKED LIKE TWENTY BILLION TIMES TO CAST THIS

they said from the start of the season that they'd just be casting for fun but when it came down to crunch time they just had to switch to their LAN-capable casting team.

Got this game the other day because my students suggested it and I hate it. I start playing it like every 2 hours or so and get frustrated after 1-2 tries.

#3 High Open Team LF Medic in Recruitment (looking for team)

i know lazy and fragg, and both are good players. Team is definitely high open quality. If I still had internet access at home, I'd happily try out for this team, and you should too if you're a really cool dude who likes to tf2.

#18 CEVO Community Meeting #2 in TF2 General Discussion
reillyMr_OwlhookyFor the record, I'm pretty sure that ESEA allows for teammates to pay each other's league fees, but not Premium.
I've paid league fees and premium for a number of teammates over the past few seasons. It's most definitely possible

That is a good feature, though.

Yeah it is possible on ESEA, but it's been a pain to do every single time I've tried because the website makes no sense.

this is true for league fees (if it's not the start of the season) but premium is really easy

CEVO payment system def seems to be better than ESEA's site.
