#16 CEVO Community Meeting #2 in TF2 General Discussion
hookyFor the record, I'm pretty sure that ESEA allows for teammates to pay each other's league fees, but not Premium.

I've paid league fees and premium for a number of teammates over the past few seasons. It's most definitely possible

That is a good feature, though.

Medusax3Works well in Canada? And every other country in the western world.

the US has a unique mindset.

truly socialized healthcare won't work with the current state of the US healthcare system.

It'll take a large shift in this country's economics and years of cleaning up before socialized healthcare would be something other than prohibitively expensive

being the center of the world economy for 100+ years had some drawbacks

hits a lot of rockets

definitely good enough to roam for a playoff IM team. Heard his demo is even better than his roamer.

I think he's being an asshole because the honest truth is that BUDSQUAD simply was not good enough to win that match on their offclasses, and bad ping or not, they won a match that they should not have because seanbud went scout.

Everyone deals with bad ping on esea servers, and I understand that it's really fucking frustrating to have ping affect your performance. Hell, there are a lot of players who would switch classes mid-match if their ping was that bad, but those players didn't make LAN two seasons ago on the class they're switching to.

Maybe it's unfair or whatever, but it's still really unfortunate that it worked out that way because I don't think the better team won that match.

I don't think that people have a problem with Budsquad being in open. They understand that it's the way ESEA rules work and that unless those rules change, there's nothing to be done about it.

The reason people are upset is that all preseason and even for most of the regular season the offclass teams put forth this 'lol we're just playing for fun' message, but as we all saw, that changed as soon as their elimination became possible. The same thing happened with r5. As soon as there was the chance they wouldn't make playoffs, they went to mainclasses and took that playoff spot from some other team who had been working all season for it. Budsquad did the same thing. When they realized that they would not win on the roster that they'd picked from the start, they just switched a LAN capable scout onto his main class and he carried (as expected).

That's why I frankly have a lot of respect for Quantum Flux, because at least they made it clear from the very start that they wanted to win and that they were going to play on their main classes rather than give everyone this song and dance about how they're just loveable bros who just wanna play TF2 together (by the way, I'm sure that's true for Budsquad, and it's clear that they enjoy playing games together, which is cool and I don't fault them for that). It's just frustrating to see the switch back to main classes as soon as the going gets tough.

Big shoutout to Meat Market though, almost managing to pull out a victory despite the mainclassing and despite the client issues.

Good luck in the grand finals guys, and go Quantum Flux! (I never thought I'd be saying that, but here we are)

What did you guys think would happen? Winning is tempting for anybody, even if it's just open.
