eXtineDocu is so close to release. We are putting the final final touches on it but are also unfortunately waiting on word back regarding some distribution stuff.

I talked with Luc yesterday and without a doubt we'll be releasing before i49, even if we're still waiting. We set a hard date, but this isn't the proper place to address it.

To clarify in case anyone freaks out. The docu will definitely be free on YT, but we're also looking at different routes for distributing a 50fps HQ version.

Bittorrent is the way to go. I'm sure some people in this community have access to a seedbox which would help speed up the initial process.

#7 What do you want to see in an Ultiduo map? in Map Discussion

In koth_ultiduo_r_b7(which i think is miles ahead of other ultiduo maps in terms of depth), after you cap the point it is crucial to climb to the upper level as soon as possible because as soon as the other team spawns they will have the high-ground and it will be difficult to engage them BUT the map maker added a few things that can help the team playing on the bottom such as the ability to shoot through the metal grates and the ability to splash the spawn door frames. I think this aspect of that map is important and should be implemented in more ultiduo maps. ultiduo_baloo allows you to cap the point AND be in a good position at the same time which takes away from the depth of the metagame. So in short, position the point where capping it would put you in a disadvantageous position.

One aspect of baloo that I thing is neat is that it is slightly more forgiving to those losing a dm fight. If a fight appears to be disadvantageous you can jump away to the bottle, regain a little bit of health and reengage.

Ultiduo is one of my favorite game modes, I play it often and have some neat ideas floating around. If you're serious about making this map I'd love to help design and/or test it.

DeepI like the TF2 minimal hud. Keep health and ammo in the corners. I want 80% of my screen to be clear of hud.

The whole point of keeping information close to your crosshair is to minimize the time it takes for you to look at your health and keep your focus on the middle of your screen.

You can actually change weapons with the scoreboard out if you do 
use tf_weapon_<name>
instead of slot1/slot2/slot3

Can you give me an example? How would I change to the stickybomb launcher?

#1 Shaw Cable in Off Topic

For those of you who live in Western Canada, how is shaw cable?
2 of my teammates use shaw and they're routing is absolute trash and I'm trying to find a solution. I've already sent a tracert to nfo to see if anything can be done on their end. Does anyone here use shaw and get good/stable ping to chi/dal servers? If you can do a tracert to our scrim server(big.g.nfoservers.com) and post the results here that would be cool.
