#35 i55 Fragmovie in TF2 General Discussion

POVs have a higher tickrate which makes the hitreg look better, the killfeed highlighting your frags and assists (although this can be edited in) and certain things you'd get in game like damage numbers. Even with beaters videos where he edits stvs to look more like povs I can tell a fair amount of the time when it's an edited stv just because things look a little wonky.

Was a great event to attend, surprised that our mix team did as well in the group stages as we did and all of the games were incredible to watch. Shoutout to everyone I talked to at the event, my team and the production team. This lan has been huge for tf2 and you can see the hype it created, some of the dota tourney players sitting near us downloaded and started playing the game after the final.

HafficoolHallowhaffi is actually coming from the iceland timezone, he will be equally jet lagged
Theres an 1 hour difference hallow

Wow haffi I know that you are a strong gamer and want to appear undefeatable for Europe but you should take your sleep seriously! Jetlag is no laughing matter you should try and get into the routine of the UK timezone now so this is not an issue!

#48 Penciljumping: is it any good? in TF2 General Discussion

Tapping s while in midair is way better than using w for unpredictability although w is useful in other ways.
You can also use a d in midair without using your mouse to strafe to make your movement look weird as fuck.

#96 Favourite Vegetables? in Off Topic

Aubergines are incredible.
Courgettes are underrated as fuck, god tier vegetable when roasted/fried.
Achuqcha is also really nice if you get the chance to try it, kind of like a cross between a pepper and cucumber.
Salad leaves can also be pretty good, nobody seems to use Purslane, Mustard leaf or Sorrel in salads :/

As opposed to just a mentor, you can watch demos with people on your team/people you like and play with a lot who are around your skill level. Try and find people around your level who you think understand the game well or better than you to go through demos with you rather than just dm players.

True but if you fly a lot they're way easier to take on a plane which is one of the main advantages I think.

#94 TLR possibly not going to LAN in TF2 General Discussion

I won't be in the UK or have internet access from Monday onwards, but if someone in the UK (i.e. preferably serotone or hys) rings the UK visas and immigration center on 0300 123 2241 or 0800 389 8289 (Mon-Thurs 9-4.45, Fri 9-4.30) they should ask them whether "proof of donations received to attend an event" counts as demonstrable proof that he will be able to fund himself in the UK and explains the team situation. You can also argue that he effectively earned the donations by playing the game well and practicing which might work on a technicality.

Idk if you've given sdb the money from the fundraiser already but if you pay it into his bank account as a transaction it would probably make the proof stronger. I'd also say include info about the fundraiser and the individual transactions into the account of whoever was organizing the fundraiser (HYS?).
