in comp tf2 you rarely have time to get up there without being spotted. Usually attacking players hiding on last will sit behind the point or at the stairs where the medic will hold because this is easier and faster to setup

In pubs it's definitely fun though. You can sit up there and spam engineers that are building sentries. they're usually not smart enough to follow the smoke trails. sadly, badlands is a terrible pub map

#7 How to fix broken viewmodels? in Q/A Help

I'm pretty sure you can do some very clunky hud editing to make a hud element that makes that part of your screen have no viewmodels. Requires DX9 which it looks like you have. It is very similar to the element that enables transparent viewmodels. Basically a box on that spot that removes that part instead of transparent. I definitely remember a guide on tftv in the past, but I couldn't find it anymore. Might be a random comment in a thread about transparent viewmodels. Maybe someone else knows where to find it

Another option is using yttrium's mod on only the original but this will require preloading on every tf2 restart and will remove the entire original viewmodel

Does this mean hitsounds and damage numbers for STVs? Update sucks still but if this is the case it's not totally horrible I suppose.

#3 preloading custom viewmodels to work on sv_pure 2 in Q/A Help

There's no (publicly available) way to get these to work. Animations work, but custom textures are a different story.
If you dive deep into how preloading and textures work you'll eventually find a way, but you'd have to figure it out yourself from scratch.

(From what I understand from cryptic comments. I'm not in the know on how any of it works) If you manage to figure it out you'll be able to load any texture you want including the gamebanana wallhacks on any server. For that reason nobody who figured it out has made the methods for doing so public

Also want to know how far I can go. I've been playing on the same laptop for 5 years. Would be a shame to quit before I experience 144 Hz and improve to the point where I feel like I reach my limit. I don't expect to become an actually good player, but I want to reach my full potential at least once before slowing down

Don't think I'll ever truly leave this community even when I stop playing completely. Too many great people I'd leave behind

Rockziirc rayshud has that as a hud crosshair called scatterspread or like that

scatterspread has more of a "rounded square" allignment compared to this one which is a full circle. Though they definitely look similar :)

I might've just wasted my time and someone will post whatever HUD has these as font, but I tried to recreate them as 64x64 VTFs. Keep in mind these do not line up with shotgun pellets like the Scatterspread crosshair would. It's more of a circledot variation than scatterspread.

nikocfg.tf doesnt have rocket launcher scripts :(

cfg.tf has had issues in the past not adding all files. Try again until it gives you the file

You'll have to open the rocketlauncher file in notepad (I recommend notepad++ if you don't ahve it yet) and add the crosshair in yourself at the bottom in the //crosshairs section (open another weapon txt file that has already been edited. will sort itself out)
If you use one of the small explosion particles for rockets you'll have to put those at //buckets near the top of the file (instructions at comment #19 of this thread)

Reminder that sigafoo could've used RGL in the wake of comp matchmaking to offer a fresh inbetween of the still new in-game 6v6 comp mode and the established 6v6 leagues. It could've set an example to Valve how their version of 6v6 comp could look like if they simply limited all classes to one, probably increasing the population playing in-game comp substantially had Valve made this change themselves. Had RGL have been 6v6 prolander it probably would've gathered the attention of UGC 6s teams that were stuck in a shitty league and had the opportunity to just switch with their full roster

But then he realised people would run 6s classes + sniper + 1 offclass so he turned it into 7v7 lol haha
