A (sort of) recent example:
At the start of Overwatch the newly formed teams would scrim for hours. Theorycrafting, working on synergy, working on comms, learning the DM, learning the cooldowns.
Their goal: Defeat a mix of OW dev team players that volunteered to scrim a couple teams every day
It still took multiple days before these teams with top TF2/cs:go/quake players would start winning maps against them.
If there are any videos of these scrims out there it'd be actual bronze gameplay

Sounds alright. The crates were the main issue of rc3 for sure. The dropdown in hindsight wasn't that bad because it allowed for easier rotations and plays from a hard-to-push lobby.
But still, Hyce is actively working on Logjam. He's going to use the feedback a lot more.
Phi is doing her own thing now and from what I understand she just wants to finish Cardinal and then be done with comp maps. Not gonna put words in her mouth though, maybe she'd still take individual feedback on her older maps, but reckoner will once again go to instant bans on pugchamp. I feel puggers' efforts to provide feedback for Logjam would be more efficient right now

Last online 1688 days ago. Cool guy. He hadn't been dealt the best of cards in life but was making the best of it. Last I heard he was enjoying life with his family and gf and had bought a console to play games with his sister's kids
The Fat Fucks (SuperSaiyanSpud, Table_Cloth, Thunderchunkie, Edlolington, Varsaa, Snizdo, Fingerprince and many more)
My first real circlejerk that split into 2 groups over time, 1 of them moving on from TF2 and over time we also lost individuals to real life. Bunch of cool people. I still talk to them at times, but playing games with them is limited because I play on a very old laptop.
Twiikuu and I organised newbie mixes with this group in truktruk's old sub mumble and newer sub discord. Most have moved on since, but one notable regular was Playmo who is now playing invite. go playmo!
Balaklava$, Method Man, Pit-o-matic, Jinn and many more
Turbine EU 24/7 regulars I enjoyed playing with who quit over the years.
Special shoutout to Roger Moore
Coming out to relatives/friends when you think/know they'll react negatively can be hard and the decision is up to you. There are no real rights or wrongs in such a scenario.
Just never let the decision to not come out affect who you are and who you love. Your happiness will always be more important than that of those around you.
If they do not accept you they're not worth your time. Surround yourself with people who accept you, disregard toxic elements in your life
in comp tf2 you rarely have time to get up there without being spotted. Usually attacking players hiding on last will sit behind the point or at the stairs where the medic will hold because this is easier and faster to setup
In pubs it's definitely fun though. You can sit up there and spam engineers that are building sentries. they're usually not smart enough to follow the smoke trails. sadly, badlands is a terrible pub map
I'm pretty sure you can do some very clunky hud editing to make a hud element that makes that part of your screen have no viewmodels. Requires DX9 which it looks like you have. It is very similar to the element that enables transparent viewmodels. Basically a box on that spot that removes that part instead of transparent. I definitely remember a guide on tftv in the past, but I couldn't find it anymore. Might be a random comment in a thread about transparent viewmodels. Maybe someone else knows where to find it
Another option is using yttrium's mod on only the original but this will require preloading on every tf2 restart and will remove the entire original viewmodel
update- Community request: player_hurt events are now visible to SourceTV clients
Does this mean hitsounds and damage numbers for STVs? Update sucks still but if this is the case it's not totally horrible I suppose.
Expecting to be corrected and disappointed
There's no (publicly available) way to get these to work. Animations work, but custom textures are a different story.
If you dive deep into how preloading and textures work you'll eventually find a way, but you'd have to figure it out yourself from scratch.
(From what I understand from cryptic comments. I'm not in the know on how any of it works) If you manage to figure it out you'll be able to load any texture you want including the gamebanana wallhacks on any server. For that reason nobody who figured it out has made the methods for doing so public
Nokkchrome://flags/#top-chrome-md -> set to Normal for the old design
thanks mr. nokk :)
Stylish apparently has been selling information about their users. Don't know what happened exactly, but they're shady so definitely use Stylus
My friends. I live for seeing them at LANs
Also want to know how far I can go. I've been playing on the same laptop for 5 years. Would be a shame to quit before I experience 144 Hz and improve to the point where I feel like I reach my limit. I don't expect to become an actually good player, but I want to reach my full potential at least once before slowing down
Don't think I'll ever truly leave this community even when I stop playing completely. Too many great people I'd leave behind
