#133 Known scammer alt opening a gambling site. in TF2 General Discussion
mafia_is_mafiaThis guy posted that he made double.tf a while back. There are people using it but if you try to login through steam, it has a big red banner telling you the site has been marked as potentially a scam. You can still log in if you want.

Are you referring to this thread? http://www.teamfortress.tv/33067/double-tf-tf2-coinflip-site

If you are: jmeyer2k (aka Julian) is not Delta. Julian made tossup.tf for Delta. Delta promised him 400 keys but obviously didn't pay. So Julian shut down tossup.tf: http://www.teamfortress.tv/30712/known-scammer-alt-opening-a-gambling-site/?page=3#75

Double.tf doesn't seem like a scam to me, but there are problems with withdrawing items and Julian has a trade banned alt. Wouldn't recommend using the site in its current state simply because of the withdrawal issues. Also gambling is stupid.
(and because I doubt it's a scam doesn't mean it can't be one)

I'd prefer it if you don't harass him. Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but then he'll switch his contact info which will make it harder for me to find him again on other alts.
He's been stupid enough to keep using references to tannermcman in all his contact info. Would be a shame if we'd make him switch.

found some stuff

http://puu.sh/oWsRv/57a2ff926a.png contact info. Not even trying to hide he's an alt.

same thing. also:

http://puu.sh/oWsC7/b09cbfa571.png Trying to get in contact with the person who got scammed atm
edit: apparently he quit steam completely after getting scammed. Last online was 22 hours ago though. Still trying to get in contact with him

All this evidence still won't be enough to get him marked as an alt on Steamrep since they changed policies. Only thing I can hope for is that the person who got their hats scammed will make a report if I manage to contact them.

#23 OJ Da Jewman (hacker) in TF2 General Discussion
MagikarpCan't you ban a STEAM ID from the server though? That'll force him to have to make a new steam account every time at least and create a hassle for him.

He does both. He makes new accounts whenever he gets banned and constantly switches his IP to avoid IP bans. Multiple alts of his are already banned. He doesn't care.

Only solution is having something that can deal with people like this once they're in the server with a new account and IP

#11 OJ Da Jewman (hacker) in TF2 General Discussion

He switches IP every time. Unless you can set something up so an admin or the people on the server can do something about it quickly he's just going to keep killing servers. Perhaps have a kick vote (not a ban vote. Just in case it gets abused) that reports kicked players to admins so they can ban the hacker accounts.

also if this happens again you can piss him off by typing Retry in console. Reconnects you to the server. He'll lose his domination.

DoctorMiggyThere's really only one thing you can say to people like Delta
'KYSMM'

that's rude don't do that :)

edit: also if people could report Lux on steam with mention of this thread/Delta/csgodirty that'd be cool. Nothing to lose and hopefully they'll blacklist csgodirty. And when he starts scamming more people and more reports from them start coming it might help getting him trade banned again

#19 This guy is insane in Other Games
messiahRight now it's 2.15 400 dpi. On this video it was around 32 centimeters for a 360°

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????

how can you aim like with a 19 inch per 360 thats unreal

Really not uncommon. Both in cs:go and TF2 I know of people who use even lower sensitivities and played at the highest levels.

Qnai and Tseini, 2 EU prem snipers, currently use around 40 cm/360. Qnai used to use 60 cm/360.
I think Hpqoeu used to use 1m/360. At least that's what someone told me once

I've seen csgo players complain about not being able to play at a higher sens than 50 cm/360 anymore

#123 Known scammer alt opening a gambling site. in TF2 General Discussion

Time to necro this thread.

tl;dr for those who don't want to catch up with the thread. Delta was an alt of the scammer/hacker Tanner:
https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198053214199
He opened a gambling site, scammed people, the dev shut down the site because he was also scammed. After some more scams which you can read about he then moved on to a new alt:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197962296154 Lux (previously aliased as Lorrow)

While this thread was dead I tried getting Delta and Lux marked as TannerMcMan alts, but steamrep no longer links alts to mains for some reason.

He's been paypal scamming people on Lux by 'selling' a Rocket League alpha account. Strazyyy found out about some other scam of his. Saw a comment on Lux' profile about it but it was deleted and I never looked into it.

Lux also made himself the leader of Delta's Tossup.tf group. Using fake giveaways to get fake rep on his profile and his own alts to prepare for more scamming
http://puu.sh/oGYNP/b14e37cf69.png Lux' announcement on Tossup's steam group
http://puu.sh/oV4mV/df39058400.png One of Delta's alts

The reason why I'm necroing this thread however is because he now owns a site similar to tossup.
csgodirty.com
He then made this announcement on the tossup group http://puu.sh/oV4So/cb6cff92ca.png promising a knife he doesn't even own.

on the site it says "©2015-2016 | Obsinthe Systems All Rights Reserved" which leads to this profile
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198166749597
http://puu.sh/oV4xk/27ed2a985e.png
http://puu.sh/oV4Eh/b2da979131.png

Though he's mostly scamming rocket league/csgo people atm he's been doing TF2 trading as well and has redownloaded TF2. He might return to TF2 soon.

#28 Double.tf - TF2 Coinflip Site in The Dumpster
Thickneydelta alt?flatlinethis sounds like a delta alt lol

He's definitely not a Delta alt. Delta's too stupid for something like this. He'd have to pretend he's 2 different people for multiple years without ever making people suspicious. It took me literally 2 minutes to find his new alt when he went inactive on Delta. If he can't even do that right then there's no way he can pull a scam of such large scale off
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197962296154

wonderoflhttp://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198251827244
- friends with delta
- "Currently trade banned"
- "Hi, I can't withdraw anything at double.tf, pls fix"

i dont trust this shit.

- Not suspicious. Delta is still friends on Steam with a lot of people he scammed
- Suspicious. If only trade bans showed the latest ban date like VAC bans then I might've been able to find something about it.
- Not suspicious. Old comment. Double.tf was still an active site until a couple of days ago. It probably was a bug and got sorted out. The person who wrote that comment is also the person that made the prnt.sc screenshot I linked in the comment above. If things start looking more fishy with double.tf I'll contact him to ask what happened but I'm giving double.tf the benefit of the doubt for now. Item withdrawal issues are very common with all csgo and tf2 gambling sites. The sites themselves are often very buggy and the steam API is really bad. If you scroll through the comments on any gambling site steam group there's often at least 1 person complaining about item withdrawal within the first few pages

#27 Double.tf - TF2 Coinflip Site in The Dumpster

Didn't see this thread before. I was one of the people trying to shut down Delta's scams in the thread about tossup

For those that still care: http://prnt.sc/9l1vgl
from: http://www.teamfortress.tv/30712/known-scammer-alt-opening-a-gambling-site/?page=3#75

I'm certain he had right intentions then. I never saw he had an alt with a trade ban though. That's up to him to explain.
his main: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198064998223
steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/doubletf

in the steam group I recognize the name Arach. He was one of the first trying to actively warn people about tossup.tf and was also one of the victims of the logo scam. He's an admin of double.tf now
https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/3y6cfb/read_tossuptf_is_a_fake_group_setup_for_scamming/

http://puu.sh/oSvXK/6a2877ee60.png
If Steam blocks your site they probably have reason to believe people got scammed. Also good luck on getting a reply from Valve within a day.
Error was fixed, whatever the cause may have been

idk what to think about all of it. Let Steam sort it out

#5 blacklisted servers in TF2 General Discussion

trade/idle servers, saxton hale/slenderman/zombie servers, nightteam servers, saigns servers, 2fort 247, allcrits orange servers

I think I have over 50% of all EU servers blacklisted just by blacklisting those. The number of blacklisted ones the server browser finds is always slightly higher than the amount of non-blacklisted ones it finds
