#108 How old were you when you joined the community? in Off Topic

35 when old friends had me install TF2 around Season 13 ESEA
39 now

I got the original Doom as a gift in 1993 but first competitive gaming was on a service called "kali" playing Duke Nukem.
Then started Quake on the first day of release and never looked back.

VulcanSpaceCadetVulcanowlspawn camping in endif is part of the game why do you think they spawn you up there

if u dont like it dont get killed
That's a dumb argument, endif was a QUAKE game mode, not meant for tf2, and even in quake it was the most pointless thing ever because you can't strafe. You can't expect that a game mode will be played the exact same way in two different games.

That's like not using Q tips to clean your ears because they weren't made for that

endif was far from pointless in QWTF. If you were even around back then and still think it was pointless, you weren't playing it the right way.

QWTF was way more aim based than TF2 and being able to hit flick shots was what separated average/good players from excellent players. There was no better arena available to practice your flick shot aim than endif in QWTF.
I was around back then and many people could agreee with me that there was much better practice than endif, it was fun, but almost completely useless for anyone decent at aiming. Endif wasn't played much at the higher levels because most people could hit an air shot 100% of the time. And if you wanted to fight people who weren't strafing you might as well play with bots

Not trying to fight with you, but you are literally talking out of your ass on this topic. You are talking to someone who played during that time at the levels you are trying to talk about. Plainly said, if you weren't awesome at ammomod and/or endif then we didn't even know who you were.

#11 RIP George Michael in Off Topic

extremely sad and fucked up. Such an awesome talent. I'm glad to have experienced his music and follow him during his prime.

I always loved his voice and felt he was underrated. I am guessing it was because of all the controversy that surrounded him his whole life.

Blaine_SpaceCadetBlaine_I think my aunts getting me a Winchester lever-action rifle reproduction of some sort.
Fantastic. I got one as a gift about 3 years ago and I never go to the range without it. Of all the guns I own, my Winchester is easily the most fun and enjoyable. I personally don't like .22 caliber guns of any sort so I have a larger Winchester.

You may get the .22 version, which is one of the more popular reproduction models these days. I think you are likely to have the time of your life shooting that gun.

My first ever lever-action rifle was the Henry Repeating Arms Golden-Boy .22 Magnum at 11 years old.
Its a great little gun but I asked for a large caliber magnum rifle. My guess is I'll be getting a .45-70, .357, or .44 Magnum rifle.

In that case, if your Aunt does her research, you are likely to get Winchester Model 1892, it can chamber most of those rounds you are looking for. Have fun

#39 Original or Stock? in TF2 General Discussion
Ond_kajasaam
also worth mentioning that with rescue ranger unbanned it's actually better to have one soldier on cow mangler and one one stock if you wanna spam a gun down
Rescue ranger can't tank two soldiers spamming.

Sure it can, if they are both using the cow mangler. =)

I really need to go into a store and sit in them to decide.

#92 TF2 UPDATE FOR 21DEC2016 in TF2 General Discussion

Why listen to and apply the lessons the competitive community learned over 23 ESEA Seasons, 25 ETF2L Seasons, 16 OzFortress Seasons, etc..... Valve already knew what was best for competitive.....
