There's no better standard for 6v6 that will make it more enticing than Highlander. Therefore there isn't any point to adding pub garbage to 6v6 for the sake of pandering. Enjoy 6v6 for what it is and understand that it's a niche mode.
Dividing the community between two leagues last season was a huge blow to 6s.
Current registration for open divisions
ESEA: 9 teams with about 13 days left
CEVO: 24 teams with about 6 days left
Summer usually has a lower turnout but these numbers are pretty bad.

Definitely had way better connection on CEVO servers than I did on esea servers. There's a huge amount of things to tear cevo apart over, don't lie to make up new ones.
what??? what defiance said was accurate from the two twitch matches my team played. higher ping (50 ping higher for some players) and stuttering were both issues on the servers we reserved from cevo.
but there's the option to play on your own server which helps

AndKennethA tournament that is intended to be broadcast in a very public fashion should have very strong fakenicking rules or very well put together configs for the new statusspec command that all of the casters are using. It makes TF2 look pretty stupid when casters are calling people something different than what they have on screen. It just makes it look disjointed and unprofessional.

These are all awful additions (aside from the Dalokohs Bar I guess)
Beggar's Bazooka
-The 3 rocket barrage is still ridiculous in certain situations even though the reload cancelling was fixed
Cow Mangler
-Removes the skill of managing your reserve ammo and the downside of minimal sentry damage is rarely an issue in 6s. The charge shot is also ridiculous since it sets targets on fire and deals mini crit damage.
Loch-n-Load
-One-shots 125 hp classes at the cost of your secondary weapon. The Direct Hit is at the cost of the Soldier's primary weapon. The Soldier gives up splash damage but Demo still has the Sticky Launcher. So you can't compare the Loch-n-Load to the Direct Hit.
Brass Beast
-Mobility doesn't matter that much when you're defending the point. The extra damage counts for something.
Holiday Punch
-You can stun ubered players with the Holiday Punch. Even highlander banned this garbage.
Southern Hospitality
-Bleed effect is annoying even though it would rarely come up.
Solemn Vow
-Let's you read the enemy medic's uber accurately if you can look at them. Removes the skill of tracking small uber advantages.
Cleaner's Carbine
-Free crits if you get a clean up kill.
Diamondback
-This gives you a free crit for every kill you get. They changed it from buildings sapped to kills. Pretty dumb.
