iskiieThere is no technical reason I can think of that would warrant valve not letting people run dx8 in competitive.
Imo this may sound tinfoil but I think the fact that weapon skins don't display on dx8 is being underlooked
valve want to make it so you see weapon skins, so the all the fat idiot children are getting their monies worth when they buy some fucking purple dildo skin
it's so you have to see the fucking pathetically shit weapon skins when you play competitive
this is definitely it imo
especially since they know most competitive oriented players use dx8 configs
recently they've been pushing steam market transactions and increasing trade restrictions to try and nickel and dime (the guise of account security is bs)
they make bank off tf2 but those shitters at valve have decided they now want to make $ at the cost of user experience. huge joke.

I mentioned this.
AFAIK dummy is the only one in the last 7 seasons. If you go back 8+ seasons you'll find a few lower invite scouts using 60hz.

SideshowI actually use this for counting respawn waves, ubers and reload times as well. Very useful app, doesn't only have to apply to heavy.
I wonder if oscillating the pitch of the metronome tick in cycles of ~40 seconds while keeping ~8 bpm would make it easier to internalize various pacings of the the game -- you could hear the tick itself for shorter paced events and the pitch of the tick for longer paced events, particularly uber and spy times.
e.g. at that bpm you have full crit heals two beats after getting hit, likewise a buff fully decays after two beats, ammo and health packs respawn in a beat and a third, uber lasts about a beat. Make sure you don't bleed while the pitch returns to what it was when medics spawned.

idk about sniper but afaik there isn't an invite scout who doesn't have 120hz+.
low fps is a bigger disadvantage but 60hz is a pretty big disadvantage as you move up. I remember ppl giving dummy shit when he played scout for froyo but he was literally the only 60hz scout in invite.

The flaming might be unnecessary but if you're playing poorly, it might be you and not them. If you played properly they have no reason to flame, but if they expect you to do impossible things it's their fault. Hit the MGE servers for an hour or two a day if it's your DM they are talking shit about.
