Good earplugs/IEM for gaming

Been using earbuds for almost a year now (random earplugs for 1$ at first, Roccat Aluma now) and I don't feel like I want to go back to full-sized headphones for a number of reasons (ruins my hair, feels awful to use during summer, uncomfortable to use for anything other than gaming really). That being said, I noticed that even with Roccat Aluma, I sometimes struggle in games where sound and sound positioning is important (PUBG for example). I understand that there might not be any earplugs that can compete with full-sized headphones in terms of positioning and sound quality but I still want to know if I can get anything better than Roccat Aluma.

I also read about IEM's just now and I'm wondering if it would be better to get something like that instead of earbuds.

Edit: decent mic is also somewhat important. One of the reasons why I like Aluma is the mic. I even used it on LAN and had 0 problems with comms. One of the options that caught my attention was Tt eSPORTS Isurus Pro since it has detacheble mic. But idk if it's worth switching to that from what I have.

ER4XR?

upd: yeah, idk If I can be bothered with all that filter changing bullshit, especially when finding those replacement filters is most likely going to be even harder than buying the buds itself in Russia. Is it even important to change them?

The Shure SE215's are fantastic. The cables are also replaceable which means if they break, you don't have to shell out a ton of money for a new pair.

Amazon often has sales on them so depending on where you are you can probably get a really good deal.

They really don't stand out against anything else especially for pleasure listening and the vast majority of IEMs have replaceable cables in the year 2019.

>permtinently attached cable
>Bose sound quality
>$250

Y though

Reliability has never been a issue with IEMs. The reason the cheap shit you get at normie stores has such high failure rates is extremely poor quality cabling which isn't an issue even on entry level ChiFi. No detachable cable is not acceptable for anything over $40 IMHO.

There are far cheaper, hassle free, and better better sounding (imho) options. A lot has changed in the last 2 years with IEMs.

blons sound great for the price but the cable/tips they come with and ergonomics are DREADFUL. By the time you buy nice tips and a cable for them they are closer to $75.

I'm not saying Blons are bad especially for the price (linsoul has them on sale for $25). I'm just saying they have some caveats that need to be considered.

@CBT
So I had a choice between Senheiser IE 40 PRO, some Shure IEM's with similar price and FiiO FA1. I went with FiiO's since the dude in the shop suggested that they're better in terms of positioning and mid/high frequencies. wdyt?

The FiiO FA1s are decent but i cant help but ask why you didn't just order online. There are better options at that price point.

I actually got to try them before buying. Also, Roccat Aluma died 2 days after I made this thread so I just RMA'd it and instantly bought something else.

Tin T2's are legit fire with pretty good sound quality. Not super bassy, but that's how I like it. I've had 0 issues so far, and cables are detachable
