There's something in the marketing of gaming products that makes me somewhat embarrassed to say I own a piece of gaming equipment, even though it may be a solid product.

I love the shape of the G100S, if they can put a very good optical sensor in that mouse I would probably buy one of these.

Yeah, the G100S caught my eye as well. I've always liked the feel of ambidextrous mice whenever I've tested one, but I've never actually bought one and played with it for an extended period of time. Maybe I'll give the G100S a shot if my G400 fails (cable issues, as usual).

g400 isn't as big and heavy as the g500, also the g500's scroll wheel is perfect while the g400 scroll wheel isn't the same

Half the reason I liked Logitech was because they didn't resort to all that bullshit "gaming gear" advertising aimed at 14 year olds.

Ugh.

Some extra info here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1373150/new-mice-from-logitech

Basically it's a refresh of a number of their current "G-series" products, good news for G400 users is that they've added additional strain relief for the cable.

They'll be available starting in April for US customers.

That cable looks braided to me (unless I'm retarded).

Aw yee.

But I don't really like the design, and the whole "plain/simple" look to the whole "gaming pr0 geear" look is just eeeh. +1 to zigzter.

definitely not a braided cable, they just added a little piece of rubber where the cable connects to the mouse to give it a little more hold

i hate braided cables because they always get used up on the corners and edges of the table where my computer is, its the main reason my old g5 died on me

Ehh... Most of the time "gaming gear" is overpriced shit with a bow on it. All the companies that make it are guilty of this (razer, steelserirs, coolermaster, zowie, logitech, etc...) but that doesn't mean it's all crap. When one of those companies makes something good, it's REALLY good (deathadder, AM1, QcK)

I have a feeling some of these new peripherals will be good

FFGi hate braided cables because they always get used up on the corners and edges of the table where my computer is, its the main reason my old g5 died on me

Run your cable under your monitor stand or something else heavy, giving some slack for your mouse. That way your cable never moves on the side that goes to your computer, only on the side that goes to the mouse.

Also, my second G400 just died after 6 months with the same classic cable issue. :[
