in about 40 mins from now a total solar eclipse will appear in Oregon and travel across the contiguous US all the way to South Carolina

There are a few ways to look at it, however, do not look directly at the eclipse without proper eyewear because that's basically the same thing as looking directly at the sun on any other day which will blind you

Even though an eclipse happens somewhere on earth about every 18 months, this is still once in a lifetime for a lot of people

Wasn't able to see the total eclipse here in Seattle but it was still something like 91% and the temperature dropped around 10 degrees which was cool :)

You're actually getting another one in 2021, going approximately from Austin to Montreal. Us Euros can wait until 2026, but we're gonna have to travel to Spain to see it.
