He says source code is provided, so it's probably not a scam. That said, if you want to run this, I would suggest reading the source code and compiling it yourself; better safe than sorry.

Or do what Devon said and give Linux a try. It's honestly a great operating system and you might like it.

That's not quite the case if you're running a precompiled binary.

While unlikely, it's entirely possible he injected malicious bits into the code prior to compilation, and shipped the resultant binary alongside the clean source code.

While the source code is provided, it seems to rely on shared libraries for Windows. As such, the only way you'll get this to work under Mac is through virtualisation or some sort of compatibility layer.

You can install Windows in VirtualBox or another such app to run this, but you might as well install Linux in it instead.

It's a C# program that uses the Steamkit2 library. It's a really cool library, and it makes me wonder how many exploits there are out there.

PS. Using an "alt" so my main doesn't get VAC banned for distribution just in case. Although this actually has good items too.

Sorry bout not responding earlier, but valve actually can't tell that you didn't log in with a linux account. Also, valve didn't even care that you could get unlimited robot chicken hats, so they won't care now.
