I'm using comanglias config and I'm not sure which command causes this, but on dx 91 my textures are really dark, like this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=765961654
If anyone knows the command that I need to change, that'd be great :)

mat_monitorgamma?

Controls brightness, try 1.8 to make it brighter or 2.2 to get it darker. Only works in fullscreen.

I'm not sure if it is that, because on dx81 it's perfectly fine. It only occurs on dx91

edit: yep it's not that, tried it and it didn't do anything

sometime this happens to me, i usually have to either switch from dx8 back to dx9 or restart steam and it will be back to normal.

...Okay I just did a -default in the launch options and the same thing occurred, I'm really lost at this point. I thought it'd maybe be a graphics card issue or something, but then how come it works perfect on dx81?

I'd almost guarantee this is a driver/gpu issue if it's still occuring on -default

try updating or rolling back your video driver.

I updated my drivers and all that stuff as well as rolling back my video driver ...
Still happens, I wonder if it's possible that a program I have installed is conflicting with my tf2, like my anti virus or something.
I did recently install a lot of shit like iobit driver booster, so maybe it's that.

Apologies for the bump, but I'm still kind of lost. So far I've attempted to roll back drivers, as well as updating them, I've set tf2 to -default in launch options and even then it occurs.
Apparently IObit programs can cause it..so I deleted those but no better results.
I'm just really confused as to why it only occurs on all -dxlevel 90,95 and 98 but it works perfectly on -dxlevel 80 and 81

I don't think we're that advanced to have Dx91 yet. We're only on Dx12 now.

lolmikesI don't think we're that advanced to have Dx91 yet. We're only on Dx12 now.

there's a period in the middle that doesnt get used when setting them as launch arguments

dx81 is DirectX 8.1. dx98 is a variant of DirectX 9 called "Direct3D 9Ex", which adds aero extensions and DWM/WDDM support (important in Vista and later).

they're subsets of the main versions, dx8 and dx9, but they have different feature sets, kind of like DX12's feature level 12_0 and 12_1, which are totally different.
