Whenever my computer starts developing any issues (which happens frequently) i reinstall my OS and that will fix all my problems until a new one develops.

I had the same problem when i built my computer first but here are some things which could help

1) Disconnect your computer from the power source then press the on button for about 10 seconds if u have a window on your case check if CPU fan twitches.

2) Reconnect all your wires to your motherboard. ( to check for loose connections )

3) Disconnect your computer from the power source for 6+ hours and then connect it back and turn your computer on immediately

Okay those are the things which i did which temporary fixed my pc But Step 1 for me stopped working after a while and Step 3 you will have to do that every time you turn off your pc for more than 4 minutes . So either keep it on for ever ( thats what i did for like a week ) or disconnect it from power overnight and then turn it on during the day ( this is what i ended up doing )

But if step 3 temporarily fixes your pc then the problem is with with your motherboard - ( this is a permanent fix for it and it worked for me )

This sounds like a CPU or RAM error if the computer is getting power and spinning the fans but won't boot. Alternatively it could have fried a board but if the board is supplying the fans with power rather than the fans being directly powered by the PSU I'd be hesitant to assume that.

Everyone is thinking really dirastically here. Have you tried cleaning the dust out of your computer? Thats the number 1 cause of things apearing to not work that should work.

I don't sleep, I just give everyone time to figure it out without my help.

Cleaning it is nice, but if it was overheating or similar there should be beeps.

#1
Considering there's no beeps I can see 3 options:
1. There are beeps but you can't hear them. Either they are too quiet, or the mobo needs an external speaker and your case doesn't have one or it's just not hooked up or the mobos speaker is broken. This is more or less the comedy option. That's why server mobos beep once if everything is alright on every boot, so you don't have to guess if the mobo's alright.

2. The mobo is dead, that's why you're not getting any beeps. If the fans are controlled as in hooked up to the mobo, not directly to the PSU and they are usually not running at full speed then that seems unlikely. It's also hard to prove so let's save it for later.

3. There are no beeps because everything is working fine. You just can't see it.
Check the obvious things first. Monitor turned off/dead/not plugged in, cable damaged/not plugged in properly or not at all, output on the gpu or input on the monitor dead/damaged (bent pins). You can test it all in one go if you can get a different monitor and a different type of cable (e.g. HDMI instead of DVI).
The GPU could be dead (borrow a another GPU) or the PCIe power cable might not be plugged in properly / not at all. Definitely check this. Since you've been unplugging/replugging a lot that might have happened. Maybe try a different cable to be sure. If a GPU can't sense a power cable then it'll refuse to start for obvious reason. It's also supposed to prevent the whole pc from booting in those cases since it'd be useless anyway. So that might be what's happening.

I got tired of tons of questions about VERRY VERRY easy to solve problems. Most came from a few particular users.

HenzyFigured it out! It was my cpu that died! RIP

It was a shitty cpu, i think its a sign its time to upgrade :)

Now thats out of the way.... Any good cpus under 200 bucks? Suggestions?

depends on what you need. and also what cpu are compatible with your notherboard. The mobo you have is backwards compatible with older amd cpus. So you can get yourself a quad core and then a high end air cooler. Quad core I guess. Don't have advice like setsultra, but that's my reccomendation.

for AMD boards your best choice is FX-8350
if you only play TF2 or your motherboard doesnt support it you could get another athlon and it would probably be good enough

the athlon x2 are very easy to overclock if you have a 960 chipset board or above. can safely overclock my athlon 260 from 3.2 GHz to 4 GHz stable
remember to use cpubenchmark.com or similar sites to compare performance of CPUs so that you make the best choice !!

How did you figure it out?

#23
If it's the Asrock N68C-GS then it won't support any FX at all. If it's the Asrock N68C-GS FX then it still won't support the FX-8350. Only up to 95W.

That raises further questions:
1. Why do you have a spare CPU?
2. Why were there no "bad CPU" beeps?
