My impression based on the current US presidential race and the Brexit vote in the UK is that there is a distinct shift towards socially conservative authoritarian viewpoints in some Western countries, which I believe I've seen reflected on tftv. It's never a good model because you cant resume it in a 2D spectrum.

It isn't specific with what political camp your results make you fall in, but I think the questions are sound and it gives a basic overview of your position.
Like for example the question about whether you think children should sometimes be spanked or not is there, I'm guessing, because it has been shown that people that believe strongly in discipline of children also tend to have authoritarian views.

The Libertarian Party in the US would be firmly in the purple, very socially liberal but also very fiscally conservative. They were actually in favor of LGBT rights before the Democrats were (back when they were formed in the 70s) but they're even more about no regulation of the economy than Republicans.
