So why did the TF2 community leave CEVO and go to ESEA? I started playing competitive in March right after S10 so I wouldn't know.

Edit: All I can see is that there's no LAN. Any other reasons?

CEVO's old website was awful beyond belief. That probably contributed. I did what I could to help dubel_07 promote the CEVO league while he was there, but even back then I complained to him about the site. Of course, there was nothing he could do to change it.

I remember when Complexity and what not were their. But I never knew why people left it. I didn't think website was bad, I thought it was more along the lines prizes and what not were bad. But I wouldn't not know for sure.

seemed like people bandwagoned over to ESEA. Ever since that, people wanted to focus on only one league because it made more sense, so away we go?

Before cevo died they dropped cevo-p for tf2 and we had a season of cevo-m with top teams. Towards the end a lot of teams didnt take cevo as serious.

In-depth stats like ESEA/tf2logs: Although these aren't planned for launch, it is 100% something we are looking to do. I'm a stats junky, so I would love to work on something like this. Although we won't have it at launch, because of the way our event system works, we will be able to go back through files that have been uploaded when a match is reported to parse that information retro actively.

In other words it's likely being worked on.

If they're still going to be a free to play league, I would definitely enjoy having CEVO back again. Also so long as it's taken more seriously like it was a bit before dying.

People stopped playing CEVO because ESEA had a LAN final, match statistics, servers, better prizes. They didn't have a LAN at first but overall ESEA was the more professional experience and thus the more competitive league, so top teams spent less and less effort on CEVO until it eventually wasn't worth the effort trying to play a 3rd or 4th match a week for CEVO when you needed to put in more practice to make LAN in ESEA.
