G400 Freeze Issue

I've had the G400 for about a month now and it randomly freezes up for 1-2 seconds in-game.
During the freeze, if I click or move the mouse, it will perform the action right after the freeze.
The optical light is also still on when this happens and I don't hear a connect/disconnect sound from Windows.
I've done some searches on this and it seems like some other people have experienced it as well, but I haven't seen any concrete solutions. Does anyone know what's going on?

In almost all cases it'll be a problem with the wire
I had what you're describing for a couple of weeks or so before it started making the USB disconnecting noise. If that happens, send it back to logitech and get it repaired.

I can confirm that it is most likely a hardware issue. It happened to my mx518 as well as to the g500 I bought as an replacement and the g400 of a friend of mine. The solution is to have the mouse replaced/repaired or to buy a non-Logitech mouse.

I think it's probably the wire as well. Just contact Logitech and they'll probably give you a new one.
My MX518 had a similar issue, but since I had it for like 8 years and it was way outside the warranty, Logitech gave me a coupon for 50% off a new mouse.

Tommi buy a non-Logitech mouse.

I don't know if it's the cable or not, but I've used about 50 of these mice at work, and I've had to RMA 12 of them now for this issue. The mouse just disconnects and reconnects shortly thereafter, but I haven't noticed any of the button-clicks and other actions "queueing up" like what OP mentions. There isn't really a fix. Just call Logitech and RMA it. Fortunately their support far surpasses their QC.

yep had an identical problem with my mouse. it was after i installed that shitty ass logitech mouse manager thing. just contact logitech and get yourself a new one

mine started the same as yours (freeze w/o any sound notifications then come back) and eventually got to the usb disconnected/connected stage.

The reason I thought it may not have been a hardware issue was the fact that the light would still be on and my clicks/movement would still register after the freeze.
Anyways, thank you all for your helpful responses, I'll go ahead and call Logitech support.

Had a similar issue with my old mx518. It took a week or so for it to actually make the USB disconnect sound. Just RMA it, I hear Logitech's customer support is great.
