This is literally the most solid fps I've ever gotten and its fucking 9. You'd think my frame limit was set to 9 if it wasn't for the occasional 60 fps spikes. I don't know what the fuck to do I have a scrim tomorrow.
try the new -default launch option and see if u have better fps (backup your configs beforehand (just in case))

Well I just tried using the -default in the launch options and it didn't seem to change anything, all it did was to reset the game settings back to default, and simple console commands like "volume" and "net_graph 1" weren't working so I couldn't really check the fps, but I am 100% sure it was still the same, maybe the people who are having the problem should give it a try and see if it work for them, but it didn't work for me.. Anyways I think we should chill the f*** down and wait for a patch, it's only been 10 hours since the release of the update.

"1% ubercharge for every 15hp healed up to 10%"

The crossbow can fire every 1.76 seconds. So, assuming it's just a case of simple math and there's something I'm not missing here, an uber can be built as quickly as about 15 seconds in the best case scenario?

I also thought of this, and before seeing your post we actually tested this a little.

We tried this in a private server on process. Med stood near the left spawn while a demo or soldier damaged themselves in the corner near the opposite spawn shutter. With this distance an arrow can do up to about 130 healing per arrow, which would be about 7-8% max ubercharge per heal arrow. The medic can just hold m1 down and continuously arrow the patient. In our unscientific tests, it seemed to be pretty do-able to build an uber this way in about 25 seconds. The key aiming at the right height so the arrow hits even if they bounce a bit, and getting someone that can consistently damage themselves without flying all over the spawn room.

The medic meta is definitely changing!

the phlog change is basically irrelevant. Soldier, demo, sniper, and heavy can still pretty easily shut it down

the change is dumb because it made spy less useful against people who taunt in retard spots, but its not like the weapon suddenly became better than it was. As long as the map has multiple exits, you can just flank the dude and two shot him

well u used to get punished for taunting outside spawn because it is an area with lots of players flowing through, so he would have been shut down for taunting in a retard spot, but now he is literally invulnerable it is impossible to do anything about it if he camps your spawn. it would be nice if there were 2 spawn exits but a lot of payload maps have only 1 door etc

popcorp-Scoreboard changes are great as well, would switch to default HUD now if they changed health and ammo positions. Really nice feature comparing your stats with your teammates and enemies during 6s/hl game, because until now you couldn't say say who is carrying enemy team, now you can just look at your enemy players stats and analyze mid-game, who is causing the most problem, who is dealing all the frags and doing the damage, and most importantly now you can know who on your team needs to be blamed for not doing anything :)
But overall, I like the design of a scoreboard, it's starting to look much more modern, still needs polishing in some areas, and new class icons look quite outdated to be honest.

maybe i missed something but how do you know who is carrying? Did some kind of more basic logs got implemented on the scoreboard?

As an estimate,

5 seconds to do 150 self damage w/ half zatoichi
5 seconds to do around 200+ w/ basher
2 seconds to do 150 with pocket rocket.

I don't think zatoichi is viable for building.

If you enable alt click in adv options you can click peoples names on the scoreboard and see their detailed scores (K/D/A, etc)

this wont get reverted. the dead ringer wasnt reverted even though all of the posts on r tf2 after gun mettle were spy mains crying about it. they just get really upset cos they now have to actually learn to play the game more than the one gimmick they knew about

tho as a general rule, there needs to be more top players explaining this stuff to ppl. it seems obvious to TFTV, but the average pubber lives in a strange world where spy is the scariest class of all time, while scout is a tad bit underpowered, and there's only a minuscule amount of ppl who actually interact with folks like /r/tf2 well

The only option for combo Pyro now is Reserve Shooter, and God knows how long that will work because no doubt B4nny will cry about that too.Basically fuck B4nny.I blame b4nny, he always complains about pyros even though they are the worst comp class and he was the only community member that had anything to do with match making.

weapon switch speed was the one part of pyro that was interesting and unique. it made having a strong secondary and a utility primary a viable balance choice and made the class take a different set of skills with properly selecting the right weapon at the right time or w/e

like they didn't buff pyro in any meaningful way, and they nerfed the degreaser, which ends up being a direct nerf to the class. The solution should've been to leave the degreaser alone and make the stock flamethrower fill a different niche.
