DouglasEuros would have won if they had banned the Crossbow.
The fuck kind of candy ass excuse is this?

He was making a joke. He said earlier in the thread: 'Americans are way more keen, more intelligent and as Tapley said more professional...I saw Ruwin come in at like 10am practising and the final isn’t for like 6 hours, just shows their dedication.'

The general view of people from Europe is we got smashed. If you ignore the retards and the many trolls, most opinions are like this:

'Great game on snake, who cares if it’s an all-american final, this will just force the EU scene to improve. Hoping for a great final!'

dfywow the comments from that forum are hurting my brain, not surprised they're still in denial riding the excuse train. l8r euros

http://etf2l.org/forum/general/topic-22464/page-6/

If you check the posts, everyone is basically calling Hallow an idiot and saying he's in the 'retard category with Monkeh and Trath now'.

Just trying to defend the name of the good people in EU here. In europe, the majority of people (that weren't retards) thought NA would win. What's surprising was how easily they won, without dropping a single map. LG got second place and they still decimated Epsilon, who's had no trouble with any team in Europe since Dignitas was around years ago.

Well done to NA for annihilating EU. Some of the people in the stream chat made pretty disgusting comments though.

KoobadoobsUSA won because our best players stick together, while their best players are spread among teams. I'm not complaining or making an excuse, I'm just saying that if the S11 Mix^ went, things would be different. The bottom of Invite can't even compete with the top. There is a noticeable skill gap. This makes for less interesting games but stronger top teams. In Europe, neither the "best" soldier nor "best" demo are on the "best" team. That's the real difference between EU and NA, not bans or airstrafing or map rules. Both sides have their pluses, both have their minuses, but at the end of the day one cannot compare NA and EU without a LAN league with all of Invite and all of Prem, the winning side being whichever side beats the other the most.

Wait what? LG has stayed the same from S10 to now? I think that last year's br0, mix^, Flow(-shrugger), and LG vs. Europe would have a similar result

this new Mix^ team has been together for a very short amount of time, that should have played into the EU's advantage since they "stick together" and have that team chemistry built up over the seasons.

I don't understand why you guys argue so much, simple truth is NA > EU for the time being, soundly beaten, no excuses.
I hope Darn words come true and EU do try hard for the next time this continents collision ocurs.

The higher level euro players aren't making up excuses for losing - they're aware the NA vs EU matches were pretty one sided and are looking to step up their game. There have been quite a few posts about ways to get the hype back up for the EU scene.

Hopefully some healthy competition like this can spark a drive to improve.

There are some trolls and idiots in that ETF2L thread, but a lot of the people here are taking jokes out of context and citing them as European excuses. Yes, the American teams dominated, but this circlejerk is extremely pathetic.

If you read the entire thread, you'll see that there is actually a lot of intelligent discussion. For example, here is Epsilon GeaR's post:

GeaRI want to state here that LG clearly deserved to win against us. I didn’t feel like we played bad at all and it’s no excuse that we only played 3 days as a preparation for this lan. banny and clockwork are both sick at their classes and their overall way of playing the game is better.
In the end it’s somehow sad to notice that epsilon is ahead of any other European team and then still being dominated by LG. I think we lost too much time discussing unlocks. Maybe we should have rather played the game as it is :D
