Anyone else feel they're adding new mercs way too fast? When I first played in the closed beta you had like 6-7 mercs, now its like 13 or 14. Shouldn't they be saving them to release them periodically later when the game is officially released? If they keep pumping new mercs like this it's gonna be hard to keep up or mantain a stable meta.

The community feeds on new content tho, and the best way to keep it interesting is adding new characters, even more so than maps, but in the last 2 months alone they released like 7 mercs? It seems way too much, they could be launching like major updates every 3 or 4 months with a new merc instead of so many while still in open beta.

I really cannot stand this shooter because it literally FORCES in a bad way you to play as a team
Let me explain this
Instead of making a game that relies on teamwork (Like tf2) where a good player could still carry to an extend they force you in a very bad way to depend on teammates way to much and it penalises way too much a good player.
In short The weapon damage is set too low, or the mercs health is set too high for one player to have a great enough impact on the game given the limited ammo someone can carry and the amount of bullet you got to waste to get most kills.
Since there is no ammo on the map or health pack, It is impossible for a good player to do enough work with the limited supplies that is given before having to look for a merc that supplies ammo and hope that he MIGHT give you ammo.
While this might not look like it is that big of a deal, it is infuriating to rely that much on teamates especially on a FPS.

The second biggest problem that I found that also makes my first point an even greater problem is the relatively small distances from the spawn to the main objective and also the spawn times that are completely off balance.
It doesn't make any sense when you manage to get a double or triple kill on the enemy team and then get to plant the bomb just to get stopped by someone you JUST FUCKING KILLED.
This just turn the game into a melting pot of running and gunning and using Nades and airtrikes on the objective and going back and forth between your spawn point and the objective.
The drawback for dying is so little that sometimes Im releaved when I die so I can have a full ammo and health ressuply to be back in less than 10 second where I died just to have an easy revenge on the person that just killed me since hes most likely out of ammo or half health from fighting me on my last life.

The upcoming search and destroy gamemode Fixes most of these problems tho, but for now, this game is a mess.

*While the is ammo on the map, the drawback from running back just to get to an ammo point is too huge concidering the short respawn timers.

i don't think depending on teammates for ammo is a big deal. i would say that the starting ammo is a little low, but i've found that there's almost always an arty around when i need ammo (and if there isn't then i'm probably overextended). i've also found that i usually run out of health before ammo, so i can just get ammo when i run back for health (or even when i run back to reload).

i completely agree that the spawn times/distances are pretty fucked and make most kills largely meaningless. that is, if you kill someone who is away from the objective, you're just wasting your time, and probably just helping him spawn closer to the objective with full ammo. kind of feels like playing highlander in that regard.

How active is the Dirty Cups PUG group? Seems that if I want to play 5v5 I'll have to use the in-game matchmaking a lot of the time as I doubt any PUG group is that active for this game.

Multiple free hacks around and xigcode catching none of em, devs left teleport command unprotected so people are abusing the shit out of it on pubs, people are farming up to million xp per game with Aura health station glitch, the game is a fucking wild west now and it doesn't help that dirty bomb has only 2 devs left in the devteam, rest are busy making gears of war HD remake cashgrab. I'm surprised if the game survives this.
Also the fact they don't allow private servers because they don't want to share server files with hack makers doesn't help the case.

The game is on life support unless they shape up how the management is handled directly. On top of that theres Nexon's EXTREMELY shady hack detection (heard rumors of people paying Nexon to bypass hackshields). There isnt much you can do besides hope GoW is finished before the game is completely dead.

Turns out the people who made Brink are still the people who made Brink. The people who actually paid for mercs and cards in an early-access game have learnt a painful lesson. On the plus side muselk got a holiday to America out of it so rough with the smooth.
