froyotech have defeated The Five Dollar Club in the lower bracket final 1-0 (5-3 Sunshine) to proceed to the grand final of the ESEA Season 19 Invite playoffs.

Due to technical issues, the lower bracket finals between FROYO and $5 had to be rescheduled to a later night, and ESEA ruled that the both the lower finals and the grand final had to be played in the same night due to scheduling constraints. As a result, the fate of these two teams would now be decided on a single map, Sunshine, instead of the best-of-three series widely expected.

$5 starts out strong on the first mid by wiping FROYO. FROYO is able to contest their push onto second with a couple of picks, but shade gets picked, and $5 is able to retake both mid and FROYO's second with a huge uber advantage that they use onto last to take the round. The next mid is yet another win for $5, who is able to roll straight into last to extend their lead to 2-0.

FROYO rebound in the next round, keeping their medic alive to take a crucial mid win. Although Mangachu forces their uber as they push into second, FROYO is still able to push into last and put themselves on the scoreboard. The fourth mid results in an even more dominant mid win for FROYO with $5 wiping. However, both teams fail pushes, resulting in points being traded back and forth before FROYO finally takes momentum from stopping a $5 push onto mid into last and win the round, tying the score. With less than 10 minutes left in the half, FROYO takes the next mid and rolls into second with a wipe of $5. Their first push into last fails, but clockwork flanks $5 and backcaps while $5 is deep in mid, easily taking second and last to give FROYO the lead at the end of the first half 3-2.

The second half begins with FROYO winning mid as $5 backs out early. They eventually cap second and hold it, beginning a long stalemate as they fail a few separate pushes onto last. Eventually, however, FROYO fails to defend the point and nearly gets wiped, allowing $5 to take mid without contest. They then take and hold FROYO's second due to a backcap attempt, and push into last to tie the score once again.

FROYO then takes the next mid, leading to another short stalemate, but clockwork comes in behind and helps FROYO pincer $5 to help them take second and last for the round. For the eighth mid, FROYO nearly wipes $5 to take it. They are blocked on their attempt to cap second, but back up and get some picks for in order to allow them to repush and take the point. A very aggressive push results in mason dropping the uber, sealing the deal for FROYO as they wipe $5 and take the round to take the map 5-3. As a result, they move on to the grand finals of the Invite playoffs, where they must win two best-of-three series against Ascent in order to be crowned the champions.

Thanks to Insomniuhh, whose live match summary saved me when I pushed the power button on my UPS, causing my computer and my network to go down just as the match started and forcing me to miss the first few rounds.

Geknaiiri think the best part is that you had this prepared as soon as the match ended

I'm slowly working up to getting it published before the match even ends.
