Muselk sums up my opinions on Overwatch pretty well here. He shows the tf2 community on how you don't have to like only one game and that you shouldn't pick only one of them and rather just play both and enjoy them for their own different aspects, what do you guys think?

You'd get less hate if you'd elaborated it yourself instead of posting a video of a person who's commonly hated on tftv here.

I mean why should we care about this pubbers opinion instead of forming our own once it comes out?

As much as I would love another game similar to TF2, I think such a thing is nigh impossible. TF2 has set a unique foundation and built itself off of incredible support through both the players and the developer. A lot of games are "kept alive" because of one or another, but when a game can survive at least this long because of both, you know you have an incredible exception.

While I do enjoy the thought of other games being "similar" to TF2, I don't think many games can exactly replicate the experience TF2 has provided to so many players. TF2 has reached a status where there will never be a similar game that will result in the same positive outcome. Saying this, I do wish the best for any game that was intentionally inspired or coincidentally ended up being similar, and I will give each of them a shot, in hope that one/some of them will provide me with hours of entertainment, but I personally do not believe anyone should rightfully take these games and compare them side-by-side with TF2, much less doing so and expecting anything but obvious results.

is there actually a common hatred? i think creating content that appeals to pubbers makes complete sense if you're wanting to get the largest audience you can for tf2. unless there's something else that he did that i missed, i certainly don't see a reason to hate him.

he's been pretty great in all my experiences with him.

i do agree that you should have posted in the overwatch thread, op.

Just because he's mostly a pubber doesn't mean that his opinion is invalid.

It still sounds that I won't enjoy it very much because the focus on abilities rather movement and aim, but I think he's made decent points.

muselk is a pretty good guy and his videos are pretty fun sometimes but god damn does he have really poorly thought out opinions. i'll listen to b4nny because he shares common interests and i'll listen to star_ because i trust his opinions in general, and i'll listen to myself because im not a mindless drone, but i really have no reason to listen to muselk's opinion

I've felt for awhile that it would be nice for a game to blatantly rip-off 6s because Valve still doesn't seem to want to make 6s big. But I also thought that for the most part it would have to be nearly identical rather than being similar to TF2. The roles in 6s are pretty perfect, and I can't see much in the way of changing the roles/weapondry around and still maintaining a good experience.

Don't need to. I tried watching one of his videos and disliked it. I also don't care for his opinion. Don't talk down to people. It's annoying.

Why Muselk? The fact that he gets like tons of viewers on Twitch doesn't make him a big star, so why post him opinion? Who even cares about some pubbers opinion?

Regardless of whether you actually like his videos or not, he's very much in touch with the attitude of most pubbers and the reddit TF2 community. You can disagree with his thoughts all you want (and I do) but if we're curious as to how TF2's casual playerbase is going to respond to a competing game, watching Muselk's thoughts is probably your best choice. Obviously his opinions are going to have less relevance to a competitive player's opinion but that's no reason to get super upset about it.
