please let's not let this one incident hinder the whole event

it's been one of (if not the) best competitive tf2 events in history. thank you to all of the players (especially iM) and production crew that made it possible.

Can't believe those fucking idiots we're allowed to cast on stream 2, making everyone who put so much time and effort into this look bad.

it's also ridiculous how people are justifying it because harbleu shit talks, can you guys really not handle being called bad at video games? Or is your skin so thin that you have to (endorse) go and personally mess with them in order to show how butthurt you are?

Bumping into people whilst they're playing is stupid and rude.

Apart from that though you're all pretty much expecting to go to an english lan, everyone stays sober and no one shouts/goes a bit crazy. You're going to a lan in a country where not only are we famous for acting like hooligans during sporting events the main activity for people in their 20s is to drink.

Pick another lan in another country if you want to keep acting like idiots.

Oh lawd, why do I always have to post silly shit like this when I'm drunk, kill me
How do I delete pls
Thanks for all the honest imput from the players and the community though.

Anyway, now that I'm sobered up, just ignore the overly dramatic stuff of my OP, my main point is still that I'm hugely disappointed in those 2 casters (especially that coleman fella) on tftv2, physically harassing the players while being wasted. This is not how I expect professionals to behave.

Congrats to 4G, they were clearly the better team, both in DM and tactics and have proven themselves to be the best on the globe right now. Just disappointed that Epsi couldn't put up a show. Probably half of their team shouldn't have been up drinking the night.

PS. War needs a better team he's too good for Epsi

sparksybrushthe awesome production crew, all of which have done a brilliant job by the way.

Everyone's talking about the second stream, but personally I did not find the swastikas from the production crew during the interview funny.

I'm glad to hear it was not intentional, thank you for informing me Antares.

Wtf you are on about ? Where have you seen local fans cheering for a team from another country? Does in sports when a non-local team socores, locals will cheer for them? No, it will be dead silence aswell. Please, dont be that dumb.

I sincerely apologize that I wasn't able to catch the offensive overlays in time last night. The way our web-based overlay system (NodeCG) works is it is operated from a website that anyone can access unless it is secured in some form (The TFTV overlay system you see on ESEA casts for example is secured via steam login). We neglected to secure our NodeCG dashboard and somebody caught the link to it in one of Tagg's vlogs and were able to remotely send overlays to our production.

I feel like shit that one of the best productions I've ever been responsible for got sullied by that garbage at the end. Thankfully it was just an interview and can probably be cleaned up for YouTube since we locally recorded it, rather than that shit happening during the consolation final.

Sorry again for what happened.

"Everyone's talking about the second stream, but personally I did not find the swastikas from the production crew during the interview funny."

Yeah, apparently the crew wasn't responsible for that. Someone from outside took the stream management over for a short time unfortunately, and put up shit like Hitler and Swastikas

There was a link and post here in the thread explaiming it, I'll try to find it

EDIT: nvm Antares linked it

can't have a good event without drama. was a fun time. i don't think anyone is truly bothered by last night. i dont understand why people try to compare my trashtalk to spectators interfering with players though. those are two completely different things.

Yeah sorry man, was drunk while I posted the OP, was mostly rambling and not lucid
Actually I was just a bit pissed at the horrid tftv2 cast during the IM - Mixup elimination match

Also I've been born with the dumb, don't you judge me

Having been there, generally the feeling in the hall on the night was great, very pro epsi but I guess when in europe the european team is going to get the support. It's a real shame if players were being harassed, I saw one drunk guy trying to take selfies with Mike and KnoxXx before the game and being really awkward and kind of refusing to go away which was unfortunate (he wasn't actually saying anything bad it was just really obvious they didn't want him to be there). All the games I watched epsi, froyo, aws and iM played prior to that had very civil spectators though. As to the tape thing, there's barely space in the isles as it is. I'm sitting in the same row as epsi and it's been practically impossible to get in and out half the time due to the number of spectators, there's like 4ft between epsi's chairs and the row of chairs in the row behind and people have been pulling extra chairs in to watch. It's actually really great being able to go up to the players and watch quietly from behind whilst chatting to friends, but it is pretty easily abusable.

Yeah, trashtalking is just part of every game there ever was, stopping and sabotaging the game however...

yeah, there were at least 10-15 people behind epsi while they were playing that mixup game. There's not much space between each row so they could have been distracted quite easily.
