Is 27" too much for TF2?

2560x1440

Not counting the fps drop from having a higher res.

Do you guys think that 27" is simply too much screen space to keep track of for the eye compared to 23.5"/24"? Not to mention that that the resolution might make HUD elements look too small (unless your custom HUD can scale). It seems that too many things would be out of your peripheral vision.

How close are you sitting to your monitor that its size affects your peripheral vision? Seems like a ridiculous concern to me, I couldn't imagine going back from 27".

as long as its other specs are up to par (response time, input lag), you'll have nothing but a size boost.

note that you'll notice bad viewing angles more on a bigger screen.

Tugger, it does make a difference. If you're looking at your health on a 27", your killfeed seems very far away.

your monitor's diagonal length and refresh rate/response time should roughly match the size and swiftness of your e-penis

It definitely is not too much, I was using a 27" IPS monitor up until very recently (2560x1440) and I've had no problems with out of reach HUD info. I used KBNHUD during that time, which does put health and ammo pretty close to the crosshair. I played quite a few matches and scrims that way. I would typically have my eyes around a foot and a half or two feet away from the screen.

I used a 27" for awhile and at first, it was kind of overwhelming to get used to. But eventually it felt natural. I went back to my 24" but I've been missing the 27" a lot...

Your viewing distance just has to be optimal. Look it up.
