I don't get how people like to camp crates and click heads of stationary crouched enemies. The game's all aim and last time I checked the shots didn't even go under the crosshair...

i thought it was all aim until i started playing it recently, its more about mind games than it is about aim, IMO, when to use nades, how to spend money, when to spend money, which weapons are best for where, etc.

In your 4.4 hours of CS i'm sure you've discovered all of the potential depth that a game could possibly have. However I don't think CS is really that much about aim. Bar pistol/eco rounds you're normally just playing angles and hoping people walk into your xhair as far as combat goes. The economic aspect of the game is really neat and isn't exactly shown in matchmaking as most teams aren't even close to organized and kinda just buy whatever/whenever.

I mean I don't like league but you don't see my 1 and a sliver hours of it bashing it over mechanics i don't understand at all, I just plain don't enjoy it and feel like dota is a more interesting game to watch anyways

It's simply a good game that has the monopoly in this very specific niche that has a huge fanbase.

Its probably the pc game I have been playing for longer, I have been playing since the good old championship manager 01/02 (which latter changed names and hands to the current FM).

If you live in europe and in a country where football is the favorite sport, chances are you have already played this game. It's one of those games that even though its not really made for multiplayer you played non stop when over at your friends house. Saying its a spreadsheet while true is a bit of an understatement, its much more than that, I love the game. :D

Not to sound like a jerk, but you guys should really watch a stream when they go over demo reviews. Or even watch some of the dream hack VODs. The CS meta is far and beyond more advanced that what you guys are describing, especially if we compare to tf2.

It seems to me that you guys have only played match making if you think this way. Crosshair placement over aim, nade angles, map knowledge, defense positions etc. I don't know even 5% of it.

Ever since I watched this video which completly blew my mind I have a newfond respect for the cs meta. I was very unfamiliar with it because I have never played any CS until GO but have been playing GO lately and I love it, just wish the hit registration wasn't so jerky, its really bad when bullets dont really hit in the crosshair like intended but instead deviate from it. Im fine with recoil and all that but the xhair should follow the recoil pattern every time.
