My Deathadder is failing!

So my last mouse was an MX518. I liked it, but I kinda felt like my hand didn't really fit it well. I noticed this Deathadder 3.5G on my dad's desk and I asked if I could borrow it, so I did and it felt much more comfortable. My dad basically gave it to me, and I've been using it since then.

However, since I got it, it's had the doubleclicking issue associated with Deathadders. Today, however, I noticed that it's gotten much worse, to the point where it's frustrating.

So, I want to replace it. I was thinking about getting the Deathadder 2013, but I think it might have the same problems (although my current Deathadder is old). A G400 would be nice too, but again, the shape would probably bother me since it's the same as the MX518. I would like to know what I should replace this Deathadder with; a Deathadder 2013, G400, or some other mouse you think I might like.

Mouse threads don't bother me, I actually like helping :), well, I got the Deathadder 2013, for close to a year now, brand new with no flaws, if you open up a brand new one and compare it to mine, it's practically brand new since I've used it almost everyday for a year now.

It's awesome.

I have a 2013 DA. It's the best mouse I've ever used. If you get it, you won't be disappointed.

A lot of people bitch about Razer Synapse, but I haven't had any issues at all with it.

Other options would be Zowie AM (ambidextrous) and Zowie EC EVO (right-handed)

Have you taken the top cover off?

I'm given to understand that the double clicking issue can be solved by cleaning the toggle a bit.

I'd go for a Zowie EC1/2. Same shape as the DA, but much better build quality and you don't have to deal with Synapse. It's also cheaper than the DA and the sensor is on par but it has a much lower lift-off distance.

If you didn't like the shape of the MX518, I wouldn't go for an AM or and FK however they have the same sensors as the ECs.

I used to own a DA 3.5G, but it lasted about a month. The DA 2013 has a great sensor, however I am a bit cautious in purchasing Razer mice due to their build quality.

The mouse I'm currently using is a Zowie FK, which I highly recommend, however I'm not sure how comfortable you will be with this mouse if you liked the shape of your DA. The FK is great for a claw grip or if you have small/average hands, however the DA is more suited to larger hands and caters for a palm grip as well.

So in short, the DA and G400 that you mentioned in OP are both great mice, and I'd add the FK to that list as well from my personal experience. I'd recommend selecting one these based on what your preference of mouse shape and grip is.

Zowie EC1 Evo is my favourite mouse, reminds me of my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 but the Zowie has better side buttons and scroll wheel.

I've had a few Razor mice. Each with their own problems after a couple months after i bought them. From not being able to click to the diodes not working correctly so my cursor jumps all over the screen. Fed up with them i bought a Saitek a couple years ago and had no problems whatsoever.
