This article will be an update to communicate recent and new developments as we head closer to organizing a LAN for RGL Invite 6s Season 20 and the Open Tournament on July 24-26, 2026. The venue will offer us enough PCs to run a 8-team Open Tournament in addition to the 8-team Invite Tournament. The venue will also have a main stage for Invite playoffs with dedicated seating for spectators for a greater viewing experience.

Philly 6s LAN Open Tournament
The RGL 6s Philly LAN Open Tournament will take place at LAN and will give non-Invite Playoffs players a chance to play with teammates and friends in person! A maximum of twelve teams will be allowed to participate. Accepted teams will be determined on a first-come-first-serve basis, so sign up as soon as possible with your team of six with your fees paid, if you want to participate. Teams will be assigned a set of six computers at Localhost Philly for the Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
You must be on a registered team in the tournament to participate and also take advantage of the computer-free time outside of the tournament. Please note that LAN fees are non-refundable.
We will also be opening up channels in the RGL Discord for LAN-related discussions, announcements, and travel and lodging coordination.

We’ve had some very exciting developments behind the scenes. Recently, an international team reached out expressing interest in competing at RGL LAN (July 24–26, 2026).
This has us thinking: Is it time to pivot this into a truly global event?
To make an international bracket sustainable and competitive, we are looking for a minimum of two teams from outside North America to commit. If we can hit that threshold, we are ready to level up the scale of this tournament.
After attempting to reachout to international teams and having to confirm with the venue we won’t be able to make international lan happen for 2026!

This would've been a separate event then the season playoffs with seeding being done at the event. The team I will refrain from name until we know that we have additional teams that are willing to join and we make an official announcement!

You are responsible for managing technical/tactical pauses and reporting to the head admin. Key Traits: Firm, fair, and remains calm under the pressure of a live crowd.
- Cup Admins: You are the support system for the tournament brackets. Responsibilities: Assist teams with roster questions, resolve lobby disputes, and handle general inquiries. You’ll be the go-to person for teams navigating the tournament structure. Key Traits: Deep knowledge of the game's competitive rules and excellent problem-solving skills.

Check-in Reminders
- On Day 0 (Friday), player and spectator pre-registration, as well as access to PCs, starts at 5:30 PM EDT.
- On Days 1 and 2, for all players, please note that check-in time starts at 11 AM EDT. Spectators' check-in begins at 11:30 AM EDT.
Schedule Update
- On Day 0, player and spectator pre-registration has been moved up to 5:30 PM EDT due to Localhost venue demands.
- On Day 2, Losers Round 2 (Lower Bracket Finals) has been moved up 30 minutes to 12:30 PM EDT. This reduces the break between LB Finals and Grand Finals by half an hour to address the complaint from players last year that the break was too long.
- The structure of the 6s Open Tournament has been updated. All 10 teams will be placed in one division, and teams will play a round-robin for a total of nine matches on Day 1 (Saturday). On Day 2 (Sunday), there will be one final playoff match for all the teams (e.g., 1v2, 2v3, 3v4, etc.).

For Invite players, the LAN will consist of four areas:
- On the stage: Section A (Red) Section B (Yellow)
- Lower Bowl: Section C (Green) Section D (Blue)
Open Tournament Cup teams will be assigned the same row of PCs throughout the Open Tournament.
LAN Rules
The purpose of this document is to detail what is expected of players at any RGL in-person LAN event. The rules will be enforced at the administrator's discretion, and these rules serve as a guideline for how these decisions are made. We strive to have a fair and balanced ruleset, so note that these rules are subject to change.

[6003.2] - Punctuality has been updated to include a new clause where 1 round will also be overturned for every 5 minutes late to a match. Should both teams be late, an extra round penalty is given to the second team to ready up.
LAN POV Demos
Players attending the RGL LAN (Invite Playoffs, Division One Playoffs, or Open Tournament) are expected to upload all POV demos for each match to the shared website folder provided to teams for LAN.
There will be an RGL LAN Discord that LAN admins will be using to work with players to ensure that this is set up.

[*]On Day 0, player and spectator pre-registration has been moved up to 5:30 PM EDT due to Localhost venue demands.
[*]On Day 2, Losers Round 2 (Lower Bracket Finals) has been moved up 30 minutes to 12:30 PM EDT. This reduces the break between LB Finals and Grand Finals by half an hour to address the complaint from players last year that the break was too long.
[*]The structure of the 6s Open Tournament has been updated. All 10 teams will be placed in one division, and teams will play a round-robin for a total of nine matches on Day 1 (Saturday). On Day 2 (Sunday), there will be one final playoff match for all the teams (e.g., 1v2, 2v3, 3v4, etc.).

For Invite players, the LAN will consist of four areas:

The purpose of [url=https://docs.rgl.gg/rules/lan/6001/]this document[/url] is to detail what is expected of players at any RGL in-person LAN event. The rules will be enforced at the administrator's discretion, and these rules serve as a guideline for how these decisions are made. We strive to have a fair and balanced ruleset, so note that these rules are subject to change.

[url=https://docs.rgl.gg/rules/lan/6003/#6003_2-punctuality][6003.2] - Punctuality[/url] has been updated to include a new clause where 1 round will also be overturned for every 5 minutes late to a match. Should both teams be late, an extra round penalty is given to the second team to ready up.
[h]LAN POV Demos[/h]
Players attending the RGL LAN (Invite Playoffs, Division One Playoffs, or Open Tournament) are expected to upload all POV demos for each match to the shared website folder provided to teams for LAN.
There will be an RGL LAN Discord that LAN admins will be using to work with players to ensure that this is set up.
