if you think yaug is too high, you can vote him down. thats the whole point of the website, if you see a ranking thats wrong, you can exert your opinion and make it collectively better.

and its not intended to bias in any particular way, its just like, the result of a poll of whoever voted.

i think its interesting at least

i dont know nearly enough to curate an all time top 100 and probably 95%+ of these voters know less than i do

It sort of feels like being top 4-ish in 2010-2015 is considered more significant than it is now. I forget their name, but I think grape's and showstopper's team was like perpetually the fourth seed, but they were considered quite good (grape was considered insane ofc). IIRC grape got second at lan once, but I think that was the time someone was cut mid game.

Would many RGL players, who never joined a winning team, appear on an updated version of this top 100 list? Anyone from the last few years? Like is there a modern RGL version of grape? Someone who never won, generally stuck below the second seed, but is definitely top 100?

(Not saying there aren't any, I'm just curious since I don't follow the scene much and it seems like no one has named any.)

I think it's most fun to rank people for their skill in the era rather than their achievements. Calling delpo one of the best demomen of all time is much more intriguing than picking from a list of LAN winners

I believe you are talking about Street Hoops Esports. Most likely considered the underdog team many people, including myself, always cheered for over other teams. I always wanted them to win for some reason, I was a fan.

They did not always finish in 4th, they had a few second place finished I think but most memorable was Season 20 where they beat Froyo in the Upper Bracket and then again in the Lower Bracket to make finals. The LBF in particular was insane, I can still remember watching it live. They ended up losing to FroyoBlack in the finals.

i was a big 20b/TSU fan too but they did only finish 2nd the one time. before mix^ disbanded they only even had one 3rd place finish, over i believe XTS at the time. after mix^ they graduated to consistent 3rd tho.

The list should have included famed invite legend "AC Milan" (Multiple invite season finishes) therefore it sucks

SpaceCadet They ended up losing to FroyoBlack in the finals.

They lost to Ascent in grand finals. It says Froyo Black because ESEA's system has always been weird with teams switching leaders and keeping the same ID number for the team even if the name changes.
