Why do you play TF2?

Is it the potential fortunes to be made in trading, the fierce competition, the endless customization possibilities, or the gorgeous gamers?

What is it about Team Fortress 2 that keeps you playing?

Mostly the fact that there hasn't been a Team Fortress 3 yet to make me stop playing it. Valve keeps adding updates and new things to keep the game interesting, and it's different enough from all the other games out there that it offers gameplay that no other game can match.

mostly because of my friends that still play it. if they all stopped tomorrow i would most likely quit shortly after. i do however really enjoy scout since no other game is quite like it.

Because Team fortress has always been one of the best team co-op games around. I'll quit when TF2 comes around.

the team aspect and class based play is pretty unique, theres really not another game that feels anything like it

For me, it's mainly because of the classes. Each class has their own role and traits, so everyone kinda has to do their part to be successful. It's kind of different from other FPS's in that way.. it's just a silly game.

Honestly I don't even know.
I can't even remember how I discovered competitive TF2 (It was most likely via eXtv).

All I do know, is that I STILL play it because of the unique competitive community we have, and the fact that most people are welcoming to newer players.

Because of the nice community. It seems to be a little less aggressive and more newbie friendly than other gaming communities. Also: hats

Because the game is too much fun. I love roaming and live for the "medic down" call :D
I've also met some of my best friends through TF2, and LANs are always fun :D

Seemed just like a fun game at first that my brother played. The videos were funny so I gave it a shot eventually. I liked the team dynamics.
However, what pretty much nailed me to the game (aside from comp and the people I met) was the art style. I never heard of the illustrators who inspired the TF2 style. It even helps me in my studies

It's the only game I can get into competitively. Plus when you scream at the game, it'll probably be about something cool rather than just shooting someone in any other game.
