  • Voice automation: Full Discord integration that will automatically handle moving players into the correct voice channels.

Is there any functional difference between this system and pugchamp? I'm not completely sure what the incentive for playing RGL pugs would be compared to playing already existing pug groups...

There are a lot more specific details about the pugging system that are not mentioned here but will be done so in a follow-up article.

This site does not only offer exclusive captain draft style picking as you see in PugChamp, but many other types of drafting systems that will be more inclusive to players that may not have a chance to get picked.

As a mention, we will be doing reveals to showcase this to the community. This will be done on streams.

From the below picture, it seems like the players choose which class they play after they are picked. I was wondering about the rules regarding the picking/class roles because it can get pretty messy or not work that well if not done properly

looks good so far - thanks to those putting the work in.

only thing that sticks out to me at first glance is that I feel like there should be more than just 3 divisions (Newcomer, Amateur, Advanced). unless those 3 divisions will be nuanced by various ranks (i.e. Amateur 1, Amateur 2, etc.)

I am assuming you are referring to the possibility of a captain choosing all the Medics (or of a specific class) during the drafting stage and causing the draft to be aborted. There will be different drafting styles, as well as checks to ensure that this does not happen.

As a notice, I encourage everyone to post feedback and questions in the discussion and feedback thread on the RGL forums, as this will be actively looked at by our developer team and staff. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to respond to all inquiries here.

I mean once the players are picked who determines who plays what. Can the captain force people to play classes they haven't selected and such

Not sure if this is how it works already but I think the best way to start would be to set elo by RGL div, so invite players don't have to do preliminary ranking games vs newcomers and ruin the fun (I'd imagine RGL thought this out tho)

Also I feel like changing elo solely off results in pugs might be a bad idea, when pugchamp came out people tried super hard playing vs b4nny and he had the lowest elo on the entire site for a period of time--imagine if having a low elo actually could de-rank you and prevent you from playing invite pugs for example
