So my aim was going well and I was hitting 55% LG on everyone but recently my friend wanted to watch Naruto with me and this weird virus popup came up and it made my mouse feel like shit and now its sooo hard to hit pistol and im only doing like a shitty humble 42% LG. barely any control on my mouse

How do I remove this virus shit? its not being picked up by my antivirus but the totalvirus.com said it was a virus

if it means anything theress this weird beep that occurs outta my pc that changes tune whenever im moving it and u cant hear it when its stationary

should i just reinstall window?

is there some way i can do something that makes me 100% sure theres no viruses

Just reinstall its going to save you so much headache. If you realllly don't want to reinstall I can walk you through some stuff but seriously reinstalling windows will just be so much easier. Maybe just make sure something isn't wrong with your mouse first, test it on another machine or try another mouse on your machine and see if you get the same symptoms.

I'm honestly 50/50 on if this is actually a virus or something fucky with windows. Either way, a clean reinstall is probably your best bet. I'd recommend backing up your data and then reinstalling programs. Steam games I think you can just back up as well and then point steam back to that directory after your reinstall and have them but I'm not certain about that.

Back up your user file to some sort of external media, C:\Users\[your user account] and your steam library, make a windows 10 USB if you don't have one already with this link. If your computer came with windows 10 the product key is associated with your motherboard and you don't have to worry about reactivating windows. Otherwise you can pull your product key using a variety of programs, I've had good luck with produkey but haven't used it with Windows 10 so idk. Boot to the USB, reinstall and then move your shit back to where you got it up from. Moving any other program is a pain in the ass so I would just reinstall.

There is a built in option on that installer to just reinstall and keep all programs and data, however in my experience its glitchy so if you're going to try that make a backup anyways. And if this is some sort of malware then you run the risk of moving it over, but I'm not super worried about that happening. As a general rule just reinstalling programs/ games after windows is already reinstalled is going to make your life easier anyways.

EntropyTFSteam games I think you can just back up as well and then point steam back to that directory after your reinstall and have them but I'm not certain about that.

This does indeed work, it's how I point my directory back at my 2TB external if I ever move my pc and forget to plug it in immediately; backup your games to another drive, then go to install one of the games on the drive. Select "create a new steam directory on

drive:\

and select the steam folder on said drive. It'll detect the game already installed as well as any other games on the drive. After this happens you can just cancel the reinstall (or continue since it'll just verify game files for the selected game anyways which isn't necessarily a bad thing)
