I haven't really been playing tf2 recently but does anyone here play the official competitive and if so what are the wait times like.

you'll probably get some games (you can sit in community servers and such during queue)
main issue is it forces your game to run on high settings that are very rough on most PCs

generally wouldn't recommend, but if you have like 2 friends that want to try it too, just join a party and do your own things in community servers until you find a game. a 3 stack should carry most games

been playing the past couple of days with cornpop and azazel
unfortunately the same problems that have plagued it for years (leavers and hackers) are still pretty rampant
Queue times have been better recently likely due to the steam sale promo, but expect longer queues in the coming days and weeks because of the sale's end

played with cornpop and console
got into a few games remarkably quickly during prime time, but at around 12est it dropped off drastically
the gameplay itself is a bit of a memefest but fun to mess around in

i tried to play it for a couple hours one night recently. if you can win the lottery and get a game started that doesn't have a hacker/afk guy, then it still turns out playing a pub with fewer people to shoot and default graphic/interp settings isn't that fun

if they didn't cancel matches because of one leaver honestly it'd be a lot more enjoyable, put it to a vote/only give elo to the disadvantaged team if they win.

I wish valve would update it and more people played. I also wish it were as easy to queue up for TF2 as it is another game like OW or CSGO
