YodenDoes that mean the one u made for mine has zoom sens ratio at .83333?

Add me, I have fixed it since someone pointed it out.

So you only pointed out 16:9, is zoom sensitivity borked for 16:10 as well?

0.79347141318 is "correct" as such for any resolution for tf2 sniper, as long as fov_desired is 90. "correct" means that any mouse movement while scoped in moves the same screen distance (NOT angle) as the same movement when unscoped.

just use whatever you're used to tho, "correct" isnt really any more intuitive than anything else

edit: 20 fov (tf2 zoom fov) in formula instead of 40 gives 0.793... instead of 0.819...
basically valve should edit the formula for zoom sens so that a value of 1 gives "correct" sens for all zoom fov levels instead of slightly different weird values for each level but w/e that's never going to happen

Just wanted to point out the zoom sens fix is at 0.8333 recurring not because of a Aspect ratio problem, but if you use any FOV setting that isn't default (aka 75) that's when the in zoom sens starts being different.

So almost all comp players are affected as a result of using FOV 90 .

75/90 = 0.833*

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but this was my own testing after reading this up a few times on the subject

(You can do so by moving a mouse , keeping a decal on the wall in and out of scope with a physical distance measure on your monitor and mouse mat. )

EDit: just read the CSGO thread posted. Bit curious to read this up again now. I thought that CSGO scopes were at different FOVs compared to the TF2 scopes?

WiethoofdlavanineSniper zoom fix is this
zoom_sensitivity_ratio "0.7"
Are you sure it's not closer to 0.82?

If this post is correct, then I don't think it's 0.82. If this works the same way in cs as it does in tf2 then it won't be the same as the sniper rifle's zoom fov is different to the cs AWP.

According to this, the zoom_sensitivity_ratio that gives the correct value in scope should be equal to
(tan(zoom fov/2)*hip fov)/(tan(hip fov/2)*zoom fov)
I believe the sniper rifle fov in tf2 is 24 degrees (as opposed to the awp's 40) though I'm not sure about this, can anyone confirm? (I'm basing this off people saying ratio 3.75 is the same sens in terms of angle in and out of the scope).
This gives a value for "correct" zoom sensitivity of 0.7970871063
It's not a particularly huge difference, and any value around 0.8 should be about right. 1 also works fine for many players.

saamwhat the fuck does right zoom sens mean why dont u just use the one that feels best for clicking on shit

the right sens is the one that gives me the same sens scoped as when I'm not scoped if i already feel like my normal sens is what feels best for me i want to have the same sens but idk what to set it to

.83 feels a lot better than 1.0 but idk if that's for 16:9 or is it different for different aspect ratios

can you make a script so that whenever im on the 2nd weapon the viewmodels are turned off? Also a command that turns this off/resets it.
ill be using it for only some classes.

TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUBMITED THE FORM AND WONDERING WERE YOUR SCRIPTS ARE READ THIS: Google forums has been wonky on my end with getting to the responses for the last weeks. This means that they are submitted but I cant view them due to an error in googles forms server. Sorry for the delay everyone. They have been up now for the last few days and I am getting to work making them and sending them out.

If you could do a spy config that binds a specific set of enemy or friendly class disguises randomly chosen bound to one key, or specific ones bound to a couple of keys, I'd probably love you forever. I haven't played spy since like 2013 because I couldn't figure out a spy cfg setup that would be easy enough for me to use.

you can achieve this by making a -duck +duck command at the end of the script, then having the key rebind when released, making it so when released a repress of the other key will cause a duck once again. Although I honestly cant really see a situation where you would want to do a scripted crappy ctap into a tick perfect +duck though. By changing the -ctap alias to toggle +duck then rebind it to standard values after executing them could make it pretty easy to set up. Would need a little tweaking in the way you jump though, almost to a point where you might as well learn to jump properly.

through doing this, its basically a normal ctap motion with +attack +jump on mouse1, with +duck -duck on mouse2, but toggles a crouch command 1 input after jumping and firing until mouse2 is pressed again.

ps: your script doesnt result in a ctap by default with just RJ timings.

replace the bottom code with this:

Show Content
// Crouch tap script
alias +ctap "bind mouse1 +jumpshoot; bind space +rj; +duck; spec_prev"
alias -ctap "-duck; -attack; alias checkctap none; bind mouse1 +jumpshoot2"

alias +jumpshoot "-duck; +jump; +attack; spec_next"
alias -jumpshoot "-jump; -attack; bind mouse1 +attack; -duck"

alias +jumpshoot2 "-duck; +jump; +attack; spec_next"
alias -jumpshoot2 "-jump; -attack; bind mouse1 +jumpshoot; +duck"

bind mouse2 +ctap

Hey,

don't know if this is the right place to ask you,but a while ago I found some fps boosting .vpks you posted, anyway- they do wonders for my fps, and I was wondering if you could actually describe what each of them are actually doing and what not. Also why haven't you posted them here? I mean maybe you have and I missed it, but if I remember right I got them from you through some obscure reddit post lol. I'll edit this post and give a list of the .vpks when I'm at my PC if you have no idea what I'm talking about.
